I've always heard about Lazy 5 Ranch, so when my Fiance's family came into town we decided to go. We went on the wagon ride, which was really neat because the tour guide was very ...

Make a day of it! 4/16/2006

We had so much fun at the Lazy 5 rance. You can either drive through, or take a "hayride" through and feed the animals. You can actually feed and pet all kinds of animals...from giraffes to goats to llamas. They also have bigger animals on the grounds like bison and buffalo! Take a picnic lunch and make a day of it. They have food for the animals available to buy, and as you drive through you can roll down your windows and feed the "critters" more

fun for all ages! 4/4/2006

Lazy 5 Ranch is a great day trip for a family! The hay ride and feeding the animals, especially the giraffe are well worth the money! There are picnic tables and a playground as well. more

Need to give this over 5 stars! 12/12/2005

My family goes here every year. When you pull in, there are llamas in the grass. Make sure to reserve a horse cart ride in advance, it is well worth it. You get to sit in the back of a horse drawn cart and see and pet the animals up close. There are llamas, zebras, emus, giraffes, all kinds of animals. You can also drive thru in your car. There is also a walk through petting area with birds and billy goats. There is a sheltered picnic area, clean restrooms, and a nice playground area. The prices are reasonable and its a fun outdoorsy day! more

A Wild Safari! 9/29/2005

I took my children and a friend to the ranch during the spring and was absolutely blown away! We did the buggy ride and really got up close and personal with a lot of animals! The guide was very funny and had a warped sense of humor. He really had a good time teasing the kids! The animals love to see the wagon coming because they know the are about to be feed. I was able to get some great pictures of the kids feeding the animals (or trying to get away from long tongues!). Afterwards, we had a picnic lunch on the grounds and walked around all the exhibits. They have so many different types of animals! It was amazing! Then we drove back through the ranch to see the animals one more time before we went home. This is definitely one place that we will be going back to! more

Great Way to Spend the Afternoon 7/22/2005

The Lazy 5 Ranch is a privately owned zoo. It's a drive through safari where you can see just about every animal that you would see at the state zoo. The prices are also about the same as admission into the state zoo. If you don't want to drive, you can call ahead and make reservations to for horse drawn wagons. They have a petting area where you can also feed the animals, horse bars, playground and picnic areas, gift shop and a blacksmith shop. The drive through the zoo is three and half miles long. So there is plenty to see and do. more
