Editorial review from Citysearch 12/27/2012

We had just moved to Tennesse three months ago and our elderly dog began to make a rapid decline. I visited Dr Raines and discussed how we could care for our dog without causing her pain. He was without a doubt the most extraordinarily kind Vet i have ever met and the same goes for his tech assistant Brentney and the office tech staff. \r Last week Dr Raines and his staff were with me when my dog passed away. I can't how much attention and consideration they gave us, strangers...this is a wonderful\r Vet practice for animals of all ages. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these folks, they are kind and smart and have a lot of common sense too! more

Caring staff within my budget 7/2/2011

I rescued a puppy from a flea market and she was 2 lbs soaking we, covered from head to toe in mange, and too weak to stand on her own legs. With the care she received at LVC she is now 25 lbs and full of life. Due to the way she was treated before we got her, she will have to continue to fight. The staff has shown her so much love, and they have taken their time to make sure she is doing well. I know that by the time she is fully grown she will be as happy and health as any other dog. And I know it was because we went there when she was so frail. Thank you for giving my puppy a chance at a life. more

the best! 9/11/2010

absolutely love this place. I lived in smyrna when I started taking my animals to LVC. I've since moved to Murfreesboro and Nashville and am convinced that there is just no better vet clinic in town. I continue to take my animals here. They've cured a bout of the mange, an otherwise undiagnosable (but two emergency vet clinics) condition called hemorrhagic gastritis that isn't typical in yellow labs, but Dr. Prater knew exactly what it was, despite the fact that it normally occurred in only toy dogs. And most recently an 8 inch stick impalement into the throat and neck. He is just so caring and sweet to our animals. He is so thorough. After spending the night in the emergency clinic, we brought our dog to him this morning after the emergency clinic in Nashville closed and he watched her until LVC closed today at noon at no charge to us. We only paid $34 for the vet visit, money for the drugs and IV fluids and that was it. These guys are just so so so so wonderful! Dr Prater specifically is just the greatest (we haven't seen the other vet but once, and he's also really nice)! I always feel like he has our animal's best interests at heart. Their offices aren't the prettiest and most modern looking, but I think that's how they keep the prices low. That's the other thing. they're soo affordable. Run, Dont' want here! I recommend to EVERYONE I know more
