My family and I just spent the weekend at this B&B. It is located 5 miles outside of Lexington in a beautiful, serene setting. The innkeeper, Sarah, was very pleasant and friendly. She was a wonderful hostess and helped us find our way around the city and the farm. Her daughter is 6 years old and helps her mom with the breakfast. The dad wasn't seen during our stay.
The home is very clean but don't expect anything fancy at all. The breakfast was standard scrambled eggs (from their own hens), bacon, French toast, pancakes...but you choose one of the entrees the night before on a piece of paper. The beds were a little squishy and the water pressure was really weak.
This is the perfect place to stay with children because they can nap during the day and won't break anything. Sarah was very laid back about our 2 year old running around. Ask for the suite though. It ran about $115 a night.
They were seen in Cookie magazine and also featured in my book about traveling in Virginia with children.
