I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS MOVING COMPANY!\r \r NOT RELIABLE: Grossly underestimated hours and resources for packing my house, placing household goods into storage, and delivering household goods to new home. This resulted in a significantly higher number of pack hours cost to me, rearrangement of my work schedule, and also the company's use of my own purchased boxes without crediting my account.\r \r NOT PROFESSIONAL: Expensive framed art was literally thrown into boxes without packing material causing damage to artwork that has endured many previous travels without damage. Threw hundreds of candy paper wrappers into boxes packed with kitchen articles. Handled grandfather parts with bare hands rather than gloves. Covered up the large scratches that they had created in my newly finished oak floors by placing furniture over the scratches. Failed to return my telephone calls and letters reporting the extent of damage to my householld goods. On one rare occasion, the co-owner spoke to me over the telephone and proceeded to make excuses for his employees. He indicated that he hired many young men who are more interested in ""getting back to their girlfriends than moving furniture.""\r \r CARELESS AND LACK OF EXPERIENCE: Packaged expensive china goods beneath cooking glassware, resulting in breakage of china. Attempted to bend curtain rods ""back into"" place after bending them in the move. Failed to cover floors while moving household goods into house. Every piece of furniture was scratched; several fine furniture pieces were gouged below both the stain and finish layer. Hardware for my daughter's bed was bent, rendering it useless for securing my daughter's bed.\r \r LACK OF INTEGRITY: Failed to answer to my claim for damage to my household goods, which included damage to fine furniture, china, and expensive children's furniture. more

We used their service to move our two bedroom townhouse. The price quote was accurate (3people 1truck) and their service was prompt and professional. Everyone of the moving crew was very polite and considerate. There was no damage with our items. I will definitely use them again and won't hesitate to recommend them to other people. more

There is nothing worse than feeling as though you've been taken (classic bait and switch). That is exactly how I felt after using this company for my move on August 1 2011. 1) They use high school kids for their move, 2) They left gashes in the floor and walls of my home from moving larger items around the house, 3) * underestimated my move to need 3 guys and 1 truck. Prior to my move I received two estimates, one from Lausch and another local moving company. Lausch estimated my move to be 3 movers, 1 truck with an estimated cost of $1020-$1140. Their competitor came in at 4 movers, 1 truck for an estimated cost of $1460. Both came in at the same amount of time for the move. Upon receiving Lausch's quote I contacted them again and asked the estimator to confirm that he believed the move would take only 3 men while his competitor said without a doubt, 4 would be needed. He responded that he saw no reason the job couldn't get done in it's estimated time by 3 people. Based on that confirmation, I went with Lausch's Moving. (Both companies offered an estimate after seeing the house and all its contents within one day of each other). Fast forward to the moving day..... Head mover walks into my house and tells me within 1 minute that they will need a FOURTH man and possibly second truck. The fourth man was at my house within 20 minutes (as if he was waiting for the call) and they made 2 trips to get all my stuff. Final bill with the fourth mover included came to $1410, almost exactly in line with the other mover. I asked the lead mover to convey my frustration to management and asked that they consider reimbursing me for the additional fourth guy but have received no call or email from anyone since the move. I also called once and emailed with no reply. I would avoid this company at all cost and realize that their estimates are as worthless as the paper they are written on! BAIT AND SWITCH! more
