We were happy with Laurelwood cleaners, until they damaged my jacket. I understand that problems can happen, but the owner was not willing to take responsibility and compensate us for the damage. He wanted us to find the parts from the jacket, and since they are not being made anymore, he refused to compensate us in anyway. In the past, if a cleaners damaged a garmet, they would either refund us, or give us free cleaning in the amount of the damaged piece. We were very surprised in Laurelwood's unwillingness to take responsibility when they clearly damaged the jacket. The best way to judge a business is how they handle problems. We feel that this company failed in this regards.
