They do offer better monthly rates. I was interested in renting for 3-4 months. I asked the lady on the phone simple questions about pricing and she acted annoyed at me for asking and pretty impatient. It's 900 a month during off season then peaks to almost twice that (1900) for a small space, in season, pretty ridiculous for the area. As you can see it's very tacky looking on the outside. It does look clean from the pictures on the web on the inside but haven't been myself to check it out yet. Also if you want kitchenette it's an extra 2 to 300 a month (too much). The lady I spoke with seemed to be mad that I asked how many units were full, 5 are open, I can see why. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! more

Great mom & pop place to stay! 4/16/2010

I found this motel to be very cute, quiet, and quaint. Actually I travel a lot and I have never slept as well as I did at the Laurel Villa Motel...it felt like home. Unlike what someone else said on here the place had very nice sized rooms and the bathroom door was no where near the refrigerator. The were at least 6 feet from each other. The place was extremely safe and I even witnessed the owner turning away a couple of people who were shady to say the least. I wish every hotel/motel would be more selective on who they rent to. I have told all my friends about it. One couple I know went there a few weeks later and told me how they loved it as well and commented to me that it was a jewel of a place to stay. It was close to the beach, had a very friendly staff, had free wifi, and also free snacks and coffee/tea. The room had a refrigerator and microwave. There was even a stove there if I wanted to cook. Plus some of the nearby restaurants were awesome. Briandi's was a little Italian restaurant that was out of this world and the near the beach about 2 miles away was a little hole-in-the-wall seafood restaurant called Pops. Best seafood I have had in a long time! Anyway...I highly suggest you visit this establishment. My only regret is that I didn't write this review earlier. Thanks for everything. Dr. Stringer Pros: Cute, quite, friendly staff, pool, free wifi and snacks Cons: little older of a place more

Unfriendly Back Breaking 2/20/2008

lady was very unfriendly. She made sure to get an address for ""When"" the cops show up. the bed was in a V shape due to the box spring. So we had to put the matress on the floor, after that it was fine. Cigarette butt in the toilet. Very small room. Bathroom door hits the fridge everytime you open it. Check out time 10 o'clock and the very kind lady makes sure you know. Maybe if your over 60 you get the decent room and a little respect. Pros: highway is near for a quick gettaway, looks cute from the outside Cons: floor and sleeping bag preferred to bed, raging troll at front desk, annoying handyman more
