I took my wedding dress to Laura of Beverly Hills for tailoring and did not share the experience of unhappiest customer.
My dress was already beautiful, but lacked in proper fit, Laura and her team, painstakingly tailored the dress to fit my body like a glove. The craftsmanship of her work was manifest the day of my wedding, the dress moved beautifully and fit perfectly. She made a gorgeous French bustle that was absolutely magnificent.
She did quote me a lower price than at first, but that is what a quote is for. If additional work needs to be done, and you want a dress that looks spectacular, like couture, you cannot balk at price.
Sure, you can find another tailor, at a lower price, but you pay for what you get. I did not want to sacrifice aesthetic for thrift. I might add, that going for a fitting, does not guarantee a perfect fit one time. Couture, and well crafted suiting/dresses, etc. is a labor of love. Does one think that Dior, Gres, and Chanel performed only one fitting on a model before the work was perfected?
I was never treated rudely, briskly perhaps, but that could be a cultural thing. Laura's work was stellar, and that is what a good tailor should strive for with every piece they touch.
Oh, by the way, I am not a celebrity, or related to one in any way.
Pros: Excellent tailoring
Cons: pricing
