Laughing Gremlin

I've had three of my four tattoos done at this shop. They were done quite well and I am frequently complimented on them. I have NO issue whatsoever with the work put into my tattoos. Skot and Chad did a fabulous job. My problem is the shop's follow-through on their touch up policy. While planning each tattoo, I was told that if I needed a touch up, it would be done for free within a year of the day that my tattoos were finished. After each one had healed, I determined that there were parts I'd like touched up, but no matter how many times I tried to get in, I was mysteriously never able to. I tried calling ahead and was given vague answers about maybe there being time ""in a few days"". During a week off of work, I stopped in literally every other day to ask about touch ups and was told that the artists were booked up although the only other customers in the shop besides myself were people waiting for piercings. Finally I had my touch ups (and fourth tattoo) done at a different shop. For my future tattoos, I will not be visiting the Laughing Gremlin. For their piercings, I found the pricing and quality of jewelry to be excellent. I've had six of my seven piercings done here and won't hesitate to return or recommend it as a good place to have that done. Overall I found the shop to be very bright, very clean, and very appealing. The artists were laid-back, friendly, informative, and able to thoroughly explain what was happening (I really appreciated this during my first tattoo). As I said before, I have no problems with the quality of work. Their customer service needs improvement, or else they ought to just change their touch up policy. more

I always wanted a tattoo but could never decide on what to get. I recently had a Son, and wanted to get a Tat to commemorate his birth. I didn't give Amy much to work with idea wise but she was able to put together a design for me with my Son's birthstone, in it. Loved the drawing, and I love the Tattoo even more. Amy did a great job, we had a nice conversation the whole time she was tattooing me, and she let me know exactly what to expect in the healing process. I took care of it like she told me to. It has been just over a week and it's pretty much healed, no scabbing, the tattoo looks great and other than a little itching now and then it's perfect. All the artists are very friendly here and do high quality tattoo/piercing work.I had Amy,the owner,do my tats and i am very pleased with them.She is great at ""detailed"" art. more

I had my tattoo covered up by one of Laughing Gremlin's artists. He did an amazing job and the other tat is totally covered. The facility is very clean, lots of art to be inspired by, staff are very friendly and know what they are doing. I would definitely recommend Laughing Gremlin to anyone and I would definitely go back again. My artist's name was Chad but I'm sure that anyone there would be great. They have staff who specialize in piercings and of course tattoos. They are honest and up front and answer all of your questions. Pros: Great service, friendly & knowledgeable staff, great price, treat you really well Cons: absolutely none more

I have gone to Laughing Gremlin 3 times now. I had 2 tattos done there by Eric; 1 in 2001 and 1 in 2002. Both were exactly what I wanted, healed up without problems and have held up well over the years. I just went back in March of 2008 for a nose piercing. The piercer was very nice. EVerything was very sterile and done in a private and non-intimidating manner. I changed my nose screw before I should have and ended up not being able to get the original nose screw back in. I went back and the piercer was very understanding, put it back in for me and told me how to heal up the wound I made by 'messing with my new piercing'. They will change nose screws free of charge also, if you had the original piercing done there. I would not have any body piercing or tatoo done anywhere else. The tattoo artists and piercer are very professional, discuss what they are going to do before they do it and make sure that what they are going to do is what you want done, and take all the precautions as far as using clean needles and gloves. You never feel there is any quesiton if something is sterile / clean or not. Pros: Very clean. Not intimidating. Good communication on how to care for body afterwards. Cons: Music is too loud. more

I only went there because of a really good artist, I had a bad experience before, I paid my $20 deposit then their artist canceled on me twice & they would not refund my deposit, ended up at Wicked Ways where we met PETO, she does great work!! she's since moved to LG so we tried them again, AWESOME experience, super clean, very professional & they offered to honor my old deposit but I couldn't find the receipt, oh well... anyway its a great shop & they have one of the best artists in the area in my opinion. Also reasonably priced. Would not waste my time with any other shops in GR Pros: Great artists, very clean, professional Cons: customer service was a little shaky but got better more

I set an appointment for a tattoo had to put down a 20.00 deposit which i did. Then returned the following week for my appointment to find out that the person who was to tatoo me was not in so they asked if i could come back later so i did and he still was not in and they said he would not be in at all today so i was upset because i took the day off from work for this so i asked for my 20.00 depist back. They refused it said it was non refundable now i could understand if i was the late one or i cancelled but they never showed so i feel i deserved my money back. I feel i was ripped off. more
