Last Chance Ranch

Thank god for Last Chance Ranch, the good they do, the animals they save and doctor back to health so far exceeds and indeed overwhelms any individual negative claims. If those negative are in any way true all our sorry for that. But to say ""don't adopt there"" is just about the most selfish thing I have ever heard. It hurt the animals, if it keep just one family from not helping an animal wether adoption or donation the posts should be ashamed. more

I do not agree with this negative posting. I also adopted from Last Chance and had a fabulous experience. They clearly identified the issues with the dog and how we should manage them. She was a puppy mill breeder and was 6 years old and had no experience in a ""normal"" home. The provided us with literature on how to deal with these dogs. We have had her for about six months now and she is a valuable member of the family. It took time and patience to incorporate her into the family.\r \r If Last Chance had not stepped up to go out to Lancaster County to get her, the breeder was going to destroy her as she was past her breeding age and useless to him.\r \r I am sorry that this individual had a bad experience, but animals are unpredictable and even when we think they are we understand their personalities, we can be surprised.\r \r I would go back to Last Chance Ranch to get another dog....or even a horse. more

Don't adopt a dog from here, they lie. Our Rottweiler we rescued from the SPCA was dying of terminal cancer. We called here to find another dog before our beloved Jax died. We asked numerous questions including if the dog was kid safe. All questions were answered in the affirmative. We bring the dog home and it was nothing like we were told. I hired a professional trainer from Philly who said the dog was dangerous and return it. Even said this is one case where he recommends the dog be euthanized. I call back LCR, they tell me ""who do you think you are Caesar Millan?"" You will use our trainer and train the dog otherwise we keep your $300! I said my son's life is worth more than $300. My son and I were crying our eyes out when we returned the dog. They were so rude when we went there. I rescued another dog from the internet two days after Jax passed. I'll never go back there. more
