Top Notch Plainfield Auto Repair Service 10/19/2011

My family and I are so happy that we met Last Chance Auto Repair For Cars Trucks. The owner's wife works at a local hospital with me and one day I heard her talking about their family owned auto repair shop. Now she didn't suggest it, I over heard her being a little snoopy. LOL, so I looked them up on the internet Citysearch and the rest of the internet had a lot of positive things to say. A couple negatives but that is normal for being in business for such a long time. Well we called we scheduled boom we now save money on all our required auto repair services. It started with a auto transmission rebuild that was desperately needed when I heard his wife talking and yes I thanked her too. Some great news was that they finance, bad month turns into a great one. I brake it they'll fix it. They are very kind, they even gave me a ride to work since my husband was at work. Free of charge no problem they said. They had the transmission rebuilt within three days. No rental needed I live almost next to my work. Lucky dog. Thanks for help, Last Chance! more

Auto Repair Shop on Plainfield Naperville Bolingbrook Border 7/11/2011

My car has been acting strange as of late. My father told me it was probably going to be a fuel pump. I thought lets test this theory and bring it to a shop for the proper testing. We found Last Chance Auto Repair For Cars Trucks on the internet, what a nice looking website. Real nice on the phone. The owner Ron diagnosed it almost over the phone. Arrived the following day for the scheduled appointment we made. My father, Ron and the team member that diagnosed it concluded all the same fate. Fuel pump, except there price was far more fair then the rest. There was no charge for the diagnostic service. Bingo! Just like the previous review on here stated. I can't believe the one star rating everyone knows credit cards have theft protection. My aunt actually used this place to rebuild there transmission in there dodge mini van a year or so back. There positive comments, referral and the internet positiveness made it more than an easy choice. Well they even changed our fuel filter for free just to out do the estimate that we received from the other repair shop. Just to go that extra step to make sure as a new customer we are more than happy. more

Brake Specials is what I looked for on the internet. 1/13/2011

Even with no coupon their price was better then ever where elses price with their coupon. Then the family went to check out their shop to see if it was real. On the internet it shows they have been in business over twenty years. I've heard the name several times just never knew where they were at. Till we looked on the internet under brakes, brake specialists. Great warranty, better price, best quality and we learned a great deal about our family van and how to make it last. They showed us the maintenance schedule so we understood that when people write that stuff down their not out to get you. They are trying to help you get better fuel economy and make your vehicle family safe. more

Car auto repair specialists fair price included. 12/2/2010

Exhaust catalytic converter repairs get expensive. I'm glad we found this place. They saved me eight hundred dollars. Yes now thats a lot, different part yes. But they gave me options included was the dealer part. Still hundreds less, but we went with a top notch oem replacement far less than all better warranty our choice. Sometimes thats what it takes to get me to understand. more

They towed it free cause of the transmission rebuild repair 10/13/2010

First we thought the brakes were locked up so we needed a tow. Then after the tow that turned out to be free in the long run we found out something else. They connected their diagnostic scanner and concluded a different situation with the health of my vehicle. Several trans codes were in the computers history. Wow what a learning experience! I'm glad my buddy from church gave me there card and it was in my wallet. Then we found them on here and that was the least we can do. To let people no what kind of place this is. Fair budgeted price they even towed it for free. I guess they tow it for free with any major job or project. Thanks Last Chance!!! more

I just wanted you to know that the service I received at your Flushing store was excellent. Ron and his crew got me in and out within 12 hours, and kept me in the loop as the replacement was being installed. He gave me all the options regarding the warranty, WITHOUT pressure one way or the other (I really appreciated that). All final decisions were mine, but I was able to base them on the helpful opinions of your technicians. Again.....JOB WELL DONE!! Thank you! Have been having trouble with the mechanic who rebuilt my transmission for weeks.Heard good things about the Last Chance Transmission rebuilders so I went over there for a second opinion.Corry, the owner I guess, took it for a test spin and ran a scan on it. They were able to get an error on it with there computer that should be helpful.They were very polite and didn't charge me for the scan. He said they could fix it, but would just add to my already high repair bill, they recommended taking it back to the shop that put the tranny in.Thxs.. more

Our vehicle broke down over at my daughters school.It was on the border of Naperville and Plainfield.It was a Sunday everyone was closed.They were right across the street funny that.Someone was there lifting weights and they didn't mind pushing it over.They had the part delivered that was required.Then we were on our way.Great thanks..... more

Bigger pistons more power.They even do complete automotive machine shop services.Lucky day cause I blew the engine needed a tow.I didn't want a junker put in from a yard with just a thirty day warranty.I wanted more power but it gets pricey.They have a great warranty on budget correct price thanks... more

They do offer same day work.But they like to schedule to try to make everyone as happy as possible.Cause some times they can backed up even with 5 techs. But I guess no one really rebuilds a trans in one day any way.... Pros: Machine shop,Engine services,Trans rebuilding Cons: You have to schedule the work to be safe. more

Transmission bullet proofing 5/24/2010

I needed a stronger transmission I was on my thrid so this shop Last Chance said something about bullet proofing kevlar and blue steel clutch packs police interceptor spring package kit.A few other things and bam.I've been beating on it for about a year running strong.Good ideas.... Wow they have 3 locations Naperville Plainfield Chicago.I've never seen a shop that keeps there doors closed cause it is partially air conditioned.There office-waiting room gets nice and cold.Cable tv for my kids to watch there cartoons Nice.Sitting on top of a slab of lifestone and concrete the engineers took advantage of the natural cooling factors when they designed the building coooooooooooooool.Transmission specialists. Transmission Fair Repair Rebuild Garage 3/30/2010

This shop is awsome, they fixed my Dodge for a third of the dealer's price. My truck needed a computer and they saved me money with a used computer. The dealer told me that a used computer can't be put into the truck since it wouldn't be programable.Corry at Last Chance Automotive assured me he does them all the time and he did it and it worked. His shop also found my electrical battery drain that the dealer told be did not exist. I am grateful for their top notch techs that worked on my truck. I will recommend them to everyone I know.
