As a woman who always comes to this salon for family occasions, parties, and just to get my hair done in general, I personally had the opportunity to be styled by the owner Joe LaSpina. Though he did do an okay job on how i wanted my hair to look, his attitude and the way he was speaking made it seem like he didn't want to even be there.
The way that he speaks to some of his employees, was very disrespectful. I have been coming here for more then 5 years, and whenever I was here, I never saw this kind of behavior. I asked him to change my style up a little bit because his knowledge of layering hair was completely unsatisfactory.
He was so rough with my hair i thought i was getting my head cut off. Pulling extremely hard on my hair when asked to layer it correctly the second time. If you want to go to an outstanding salon, go to this one, but ask personally for somebody other then the boss. For a salon owner, he really doesn't know what he's doing. Perhaps renewing your cosmetology license?
Also, the woman at the front desk was also snippy. Could use some customer service training. And to know that the customer is always right!
