LOVE THIS PLACE 8/16/2010

what the hell is everyone else talking about? I have just recently started going in here, and I have to say it is one of the best mexican food places I've been to in a while, trust me I am a picky eater when it comes to my food, and this place satisfies all my cravings. The meat always has flavor, and is always cooked perfectly. I always get the carne asada torta, carne asada fries, or a burrito and every single time I can taste the meat. A lot of shops around here you can't taste the meat and you have to use a large amount of hot sauce so you can not taste the food, but still be able to eat. As far as the service they are always kinda and nothing like everyone else is saying. I have never had a problem with receiving creepy smiles, or them being rude to me. I have never gotten my order messed up here, even when they are really busy. I don't know what stick got up these peoples asses but they really aren't anything like these people are saying. & the food is just amazing. more

I love this place 5/6/2010

Dont know what those people below are talking about because the that work their are extremely nice. They gave me free chips and like a bunch of salsa. They have amazing carne asada!!! They have never ever been rude to me, & the cashier w/ really pretty blue eyes is the nicest one. On top of their great service, they have delicious food!(: Pros: great service & food Cons: nothing more

Food 5 - Service 0 3/9/2010

The employees are all creepy 12/25/2009

I've been going to this place for years... I come for one reason: The carne asada is some of the best in town. The downside: All of the employees are creepy gay weirdos. The short guy points to the tip jar as he hands you your change. He is complete prick and I never tip, simply because these rude employees are never friendly and consistently screw up my order. In addition, I don't think it should be expected to tip for take out. If these a$$holes greeted me with a non-creepy smile and were friendly, I might be inclined to throw them a ducat or two, but they are never courteous. The guy with a cop mustache is always a prick. If you ask him for an extra salsa container (above and beyond the single tiny plastic container they give you) he glares at you with evil, beady little eyes. The fat little short queer guy who is always working is also rude. I once ordered rolled tacos, and as I was eating them I always choked to death on a toothpick which was hidden inside. They were also very cold...so cold, the cheese wouldn't even melt. When I complained, he snatched away my tacos and said they were not cold. F--- you short fat man. I hate these employees but come back because the carne is great (sometimes). Please don't ever tip these c0cksuckers. Pros: Carne is good Cons: The employees are creepy faggots more

Disgusting 12/15/2009

I have never had Albondigas soup (Mexican beef meatballs/broth/vegetables) made with frozen Italian meatballs. The broth was a basic seafood soup. I threw it all out when I returned home and regretted spending $6.00. more

This place sucks 11/29/2009

Every time I decide to give this place another chance the rude cashier reminds me why they don't deserve it.\r Hilbertos is far better. Cons: bad customer service, bad food more

Same as it ever was. 10/2/2009

Haven't been here in over 6 months. Family made me go tonight. Ordered 7 items to go. 2 out of the 7 were wrong. No, wait, 2 out of 6 were wrong because they forgot to give me one of the items. After going back to retrieve the missing food I remembered why I it's taken me 6 months to go back. The last time they forgot a burrito. How hard is it to get an order right?\r \r At least the food was good when the service sucked, but now that's not even a reason to go back! more

Must have been an off night 9/24/2007

Las Parrillas has a cute ambiance, but the quality of food suffers. I've been before, but stopped going due to slow service and the quality of the food wasn't up to par.\r \r The main reason I decided to stop Las Parrillas this particular night was because our favorite taco shop (Hilberto's on Jamacha Rd.) was closed for the night.\r \r I ordered a California burrito - blech! Cold carne asada, cold french fries, sour cream and cheese rolled up in a cold flour tortilla. I could make the excuse that it was almost closing time, but I won't cuz it wasn't. \r \r I'll go back to Hilberto's where the California burrito has fresh WARM/HOT carne asada, salsa fresca, freshly chopped and cooked potatoes and little cheese. Mmmm, mmmm....... Pros: Location, ambience, good salsa Cons: food quality poor and cold more

Best Mexi in East SD 7/8/2004

This place is always busy...everyday...but worth the wait. I would recommend anything especially the carne asada or any seafood. All locals love this place. Pros: Authentic, Good Portion, Salsa Bar Cons: , Too bright inside more
