Larkin Village

This is the most horrible place you could move beside maybe Cabrni Green in Chicago. These building also should be damolished. They have an really bad mold problem!!! And you know that can seriously hurt you! So if you don't get struck by a stray bullet the mold will serious hurt you you in the long run. Luckly I was a person that had the number to the cooperate office which made Dennis and the smart mouthed a-- maintenance man get some act right in them . Which is a number no one in the office is willing to give to you because if you call them you will see some new people in that office. He made sure to do all the things I asked him to do as soon as I called them. I still will be moving as soon as my lease is up!!!! If you live in Larkin Village and have any problems instead of call the office to see what they are willing to do. If they're not talking about anything or the problem persist call 1-800-333-3509. Which is the cooperate office for the whole apartment complex. Even though he wants you to think he owns the apartment building he DOES NOT!! So from one resident to another that's how you handle him. If you don't live here already as the other person said RUN!!!! Pros: Are you serious?!?!? Cons: What aren't the drawbacks more

This is a TERRIBLE place to live. Not only is it extremely noisey but it is not well kept. There is an obvious ""illegal substance"" problem in this area and lots of violence. As a matter of fact, just this past weekend I heard gun shots right outside my apartment (in my parking lot - which is near the playground that the children use). If you don't want to take my advice, call the Joliet police and ask them about the problems. Sure wish I would have done so before moving there. And if something breaks (or your ceiling caves in, like mine did) don't expect it to be fixed or to get any sympathy out of the office employees. It's nearly impossible to get in contact with the property manager, and if you're lucky enough to actually speak with him, hopefully a phone conversation is good enough for you, because he doesn't like sit down, face to face meetings with his unhappy tenants.
