This place should be called Large Marges PLUS+++ Not only are the cheese steaks authentic...but Marge has fare for EVERYONE....chicken, veggie, breakfast..you name it. You gotta see this place. For those of you not of east coast heritage, this place is like a museum of South Philly.. I caught myself wanting to start yelling at other patrons....just because. I am originally from Pittsburgh..the other side of the state...but now I know what it means to be from PHILLY. Ya just gotta go in and let MARGE YELL AT YA!! (Oh yeah..have her show you her ""legs"" in one of the photo's on the wall!!! ummmmmmm!) ;) Then sit down and enjoy one of the tastiest meals you will have in Colorado. If you're visiting the Mile High City, or are a resident, and haven't made the drive out to Wheatridge...go...no...RUN...to your car...and get to LARGE MARGES. You WON'T be sorry! A Great Philly Cheesesteak 12/9/2007

This place is by far the best place to go for a real Philly Cheesesteak. This is as close to Philly as you are going to get. The owner is from South Philly!! How authentic is that!! Her and her son does most of the cooking. I ordered the 12"" wit and tried some of their homemade hotsauce ""Flaming Poo"". The cheesesteak was juicy and held its flavor. The hotsauce was a real treat. It has a great flavor with just enough bite added to the sandwich. You can find TastyKakes here along with Birch Beer. Pros: A real Philly Cheesesteak...enough said. Cons: None. more

The Philly Cheesesteaks are made from rib eye steaks. I have to say it again, the Philly cheesesteaks are made from rib eye steaks. They are the best tasting thing I have ever eaten. I love this place. Please trust me, you will not be disappointed!!! Thanks Marge, Deb, Shawn and staff. You guys are a gift to those of us that like great food!!! more

Wow, this place is GREAT! 7/26/2006

Now, I'm from Colorado and I rarely travel outside of the state. The cheesesteaks I've had before were good to me. Being a huge fan of BBQ, i've read about Geno's Cheesesteaks and Pats as well (namely from BBQ USA by Steven Raichlen). I remember thinking to myself ""Now how good could a cheesesteak really be?"" It can be DARN good! Pros: best cheesesteaks this side of philly, wonderful service, good atomosphere. BEST CHEESESTEAKS! Cons: Very addicting =), no cons really. more

Don't settle for a ""Steak-Um"" 3/28/2006

If you want to have the best cheesesteak this side of Philly made with real steak, you have to come try out Large Marge's! Warning: This place is highly addictive but so very gooood! Cheesesteaks are always hot and fresh along with the fries. Variety of other things to try too. The service is incredible and the price is very reasonable. What a surprise!!! 3/26/2006

I have to say I was quite surprised with this little shop since I am originally from Philly and have lived in Colorado for over 10 years now. I just realized this place opened in my neighborhood and is the best kept secret so far. Of course being from Philly I was skeptical of yet another ""so called"" Philly Cheesesteak place opening to only find out they will serve so-so food. NOT ANY MORE!!! While I was waiting for my cheesesteak I had the opportunity to chat with the owner to find out she is really from South Philadelphia...accent and all!! What a character!! It felt like old times!! This place is a must for those in search of a real cheesesteak. However, come with cash or check. They do not accept credit cards. more

Best Cheesesteak ever - it would give the best of South Philly a real run for their money! And if you are from the Philly area and a bit homesick....stop in! The memorabilia is great! A Mummer's costume and all! With Large Marge serving (dishing out her South Philly attitude) you are going to feel like you are at Pat's on a Saturday night right after the dance at Neumann! The Real Deal! 3/19/2006

How many times have you seen ""Philly Cheesesteak"" advertised to find it's just another roast beef sandwich? Well, now you've found the real deal! This is a cheesesteak you remember from 9th St or Passyunk Ave. For those who aren't from Philly, here's the sandwich ""us guys"" can't live without. Bada Bing! Best Cheesesteaks outside of South Philly 3/19/2006

Traveling with my family on a trip to Colorado,we stumbled upon Large Marge's. I love cheesesteaks ,,so finding this place outside of Philly ,,let alone in another state was a FLUKE!!!!!!!. The people of this town especially any Philly transplants will think they were in Philly when they sit down to eat an authentic South Philly cheesesteaks in Marges Place. If we ever return to Colorado you can hit me up @ Large Marge's Pros: Attitude, inexpensive, atmosphere Cons: NOT IN PHILLY!! more

A real Philly Cheesesteak 3/19/2006

This little place is the real deal. I've searched for years around Colorado for a good Philly Cheesesteak. The cheesesteaks here are great! The sandwich is real sliced rib-eye, which is sliced everyday. Try the homemade hotsauce. It just tops off the cheesesteak. The rolls are specially made for the shop by a local baker. The menu is small but they do have TastyKakes. Yes you do need cash or check but it is well worth saving those pennies for. You also can't beat the price for what you get. When you talk to the owner (Marge) you feel like you are back in Philly. I highly recommend Large Marge's. Pros: Friendly, Good parking, Great Food more

My wife and I were passing through Colorado and happened upon this wonderfu place to eat a genuine Philly Chesse Steak sandwich. The steak sandwich was awesome, with impeccable service and great preparation of food. Highly recommended for all persons living and passing through the area. more

My New Favorite 3/17/2006

After having spent my entire semester sitting at school studying biology and chemistry I was very happy to have my spring break. When I came out to visit my best friend we went out and searched for some food. The trip was long and believe me I was hungry! Anyway after seeing Large Marges I just had to ask that we pull over and have a bite. I didnt expect to find my new favorite restaurant but now I have. The atmosphere is welcoming, and friendly run by some really nice people. The food is by far the best I have ever had and outstrips any place that I would have otherwise given my custom to. I am now back at college and cant get my mind off of this place! If you are in the area you have got to try this place out. Pros: Service, Food, atmosphere Cons: None! more
