I left my PS3 to be repaired after they diagnosed it with a bad blu ray laser, I decided to have them repair it on June 1st, 2010. My PS3 would work with certain DVD/Games but not with others. They said that this can easily be repaired and they would have to order a part and keep it for a few weeks. I let them know that I would be moving out of town and my mother would be picking it up for me.
I was notified that it was repaired and ready to be picked up. I let my mother know and she went and retrieved it almost a month later.
It is now March 3rd 2011 and I have finally moved my stuff to Chicago where I now live. When I brought back my PS3 and tried to hook it up, I noticed that it was missing the power cable and HDMI cable that I gave them to work on my console. I went to a store to purchase new equipment and hooked up my unit. It would turn on my nothing would display on the TV. I tested the cables I bought at the store and they work properly. So the problem lies somewhere in the console that I paid them to fix.
So, not only did they not repair my console, it is now worse off from when I took it in. On top of that, I had to spend additional money to get the cords that they lost. The repair was approximately $120 and the cords I had to re-buy were $30. All together I paid $150 for nothing.
I contacted them to see if they would fix it again or reimburse some of my money. I spoke with Brenden Green and he said that they have a 30 day return policy. I told him my situation about moving out of state and not having even turned it on since the ""fix"". He said that they won't do anything. I asked for a partial reimbursement of my money because not only did they not fix it, it's now completely broken. He told me that they will look at it but can't promise anything. I let him know that I lived out of state and would be happy to bring it to him in a month when I come home to visit. He said he will look at it but can't promise to repair it. He said that He would need to keep it for a few weeks. I told him that wouldn't work because I'm only going to be in town for a few days. I offered to leave it with him if he paid to ship it back.
At this point he got defensive and said that he won't work with me at all. I asked him for just part of my money because I will now have to either have it repaired for the original problem and additional issues from when they worked on it because it now doesn't work at all. He said that he refuses to do anything.
With the amount of money I spent, time they had it, equipment that was lost AND getting it back WORSE then what I gave back to them, I feel that they need to either repair for no charge or at least reimburse my money so I can have someone actually repair it.
I believe in getting the service that you paid for and for $120 in this economy, I feel that this should be resolved.
