WOW,WOW,WOW!!! I'm surprised Bob go bad reviews about his work. That's unfortunate because he did work for me and also some other family and friends that I referred him to and he did outstanding work for all of us. Yes, the job turned into 2 weeks longer than he said but when there is such a large job you have to expect some delays. It was all worth it too. So you have to realize there is 2 sides to every story also and Bob cannot defend himself when people write such awful words about him on the internet. So anyway I just thought I would help him out for helping us out with our projects. I would totally recommend him for any of your projects and yes, he is a very friendly guy. Oh, we also had a service call for him and he corrected the problem ASAP!!! Do not hesitate to hire BOB!!! I own a business also and some of the negative reviews I get, I do not even know these people. It is a shame they get away with it. Thanks Bob!!! Pros: clean , quick, and great work more

We hired Bob to redo a bathroom and a few other very minor things in our house. From the beginning it was a problem. Bob told us before he hired us that he would work 7 hours a day. The most he ever worked was 2-3 hours a day. He never stayed beyond that, even after we asked him on 2 or 3 seperate occassions to stay longer so he could finish faster, he did not. He also told us it would be a 6 week project and it instead was a 10 week project. Nearly double what he said it would take. The thing that makes him completely unhireable and unreliable though is afterwards. He did not put our shower in up to code and therefore it leaks into our laundry room. We called him consistently and emailed for 2 months, and he never returned calls. My husband then happened to run into him at a store and Bob said he never recieved the calls or emails, even after confirming we had the correct number and address. He said, of course, he would come by and fix his work. That was 3 months ago and again, after a month of consistent calls and emails, he has never returned them. We have not been able to use our shower for almost 8 months now and we will have to pay over 1,000 to get the problem fixed. This is on top of paying Bob nearly 20K to do the work in our home. So I urge you, DO NOT use this man. He is incredibly friendly, that is the one thing going for him, but a lot of the work he does is not done well and when a major problem arises, he will not, repeat WILL NOT fix it and you will be our money. Hey John, Thanks for the kind words, its sad that someone you never even spoke with has to write this, im sure its a nother contractor thats out of work trying to put us down, no big deal, we know who we are and so does alot of other families, my wife owns a dog grooming shop in the city and is always fighting about people writing bad things about her shop,just to find out its the dog grooming shop down the block writing bad reviews, its sad but true and nothing you can do but go on in life. Hey, whos the goofy person writing bad remarks , Bob had just finished my basement, my neighbors basement 3 months ago, he had just finished working on my parnents home and everyone in the plainfield ,lockport area know hes the bomb, man his work is great, he also did a bunch of work for the relatives of South Oak Dodge, he did like 4 jobs for them and there real happy. I had this guy remodel our basement for us and the basement looks good but there are still Some things that Mr. bob Lapkus never finished. I sure did not expect him to throw all the old piping under my crawlspace, and pieces of wood etc. He also owes us money for a Back-up battery that he NEVER Installed for us, around 476.00, that he pocketed. now I am contacting people and he keeps saying that We owe him money and WE do not. He just does not want to come finish the minor things in the basement and does not want to give us a refund. I will contact my lawyer If I have to- soemthing has to be done about this man! I will go to the news channel If I have to, He is not going to get away with this. more
