This saloon-restaurant was started by the late Armondo Lanuti in 1907 and is still serving the finest family style chicken and seafood with the original homemade recipes. Lanuti’s expanded its seafood line to include walleye, catfish, haddock, frog legs, shrimp, red snapper, scallops and of course the famous tender fried turtle. Lanuti’s is still the largest user of turtle in the state. With the original, authentic 1930's design, the atmosphere is reminiscent of "Lou's Restaurant in the Bronx" of Godfather fame.
