Great experience 7/6/2011

We had a fairly major retaining wall and patio extension behind our house which included a water feature, hot tub pad, flagstone, outdoor grill, lighting and planting beds plus electrical and water considerations. Spencer was easy to work with and very accommodating for changes and working through obstacles in getting this job completed. We had a very positive experience and highly recommend Spencer ... if we have another project we wouldn't think about asking anyone else. more

We Love Our Patio! 2/28/2011

We called Spencer to give us an estimate on redoing our patio and the landscaping in our back yard. He met with us and listened to our ideas as well as giving us some great suggestions. We hired him to do the work, he was there when he said he would be, he finished the job on time, his crew was efficient and polite. He was very gracious when I changed my mind on a few things! We love the stone work on the patio and the changes he suggested for the size and shape. We added a fire pit at his suggestion and couldn't be happier with the results! Thank you for the great service and all your help in making our patio and backyard beautiful! more

I Highly Recommend Laney Landscaping 8/15/2010

I called Spencer to add some stone boarders to my front yard. He was able to meet with me the next day which worked out really well as I needed it done as soon as possible! He listened to what I wanted and made suggestions based off what I preferred as well as what was needed for my front yard. It turned out beyond better then I expected! Not only did it look great, but Spencer and his crew were great with the finishing touches! He was also very patient with me and answered the many questions I had before, during, and after the project. They were able to show up within a day and completed the job quickly! It looks AMAZING! I am VERY happy with the results and plan on having them landscape our entire backyard and patio in the near future! Big THANKS to Spencer and his crew! I HIGHLY recommend Laney Landscaping!! more

Laney Landscaping 5/21/2010

We called Spencer to expand our patio along with a separate pad for our new bird bath and resod as a result of last years draught. He met with us, made great suggestions as well as listening to our desires. I am very pleased to say the job was just completed and, of course, it is absolutely beautiful. The pave stones work well with the brick on the house and border ties in with the paint color changing our boring 12x24 patio into one that might be seen on one of those home improvements shows!! Thank you Spencer for forfilling our dream! more

Excellent Job & Great Service 10/3/2009

When I decided to replant the grass and clean out my backyard, I wanted it done ASAP so I caould take advantage of the upcoming rains. Spencer did everything he could to arrange the job to be done within 2 days. They did an excellent job and a great price. His crew was polite, efficient, clean, and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Laney Landscaping! I 'm sure I will be seeing them again soon as I now want to add some more landscaping, lighting, etc... Pros: Efficient and Detail Oriented more

Dependable, Reliable, Good Clean-Up 8/31/2009

We hired Laney Landscaping to trim several trees in our yard; plus remove one dead one. The crew did an excellent job; worked fast, but took care to make sure tree branches didn't fall and damage anything. Cleaned up after the work was done; and it was like they were never here...except that our trees all looked so great! Spencer Laney supervised the job and made sure everything was done satisfactorily. Would definitely hire them again! Pros: Showed up on-time; did a fabulous job! more

The best in town! 6/24/2009

I called Spencer and he came out more than once to discuss our project before he knew he got the job. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in the design of our hard surface patio (flagstone) ,drainage system, firepit, and lighting. The project took a total of 11 days. We feel like we are on a vacation in our backyard! Thank you Laney Landscaping for the professional experience you gave us. Great Job! 5/18/2009

I called Spencer at Laney Landscaping and he came right out to our house to talk about our project. He gave us some great ideas, told us what would work and what wouldn't. I was impressed with his design ideas and sense of aesthetics. His price was fair, and he started the job when he said he would. Spencer's team was terrific, very hardworking with great attention to detail. They worked in a very organized manner, even coming on Saturday and Sunday to get the job done. Spencer didn't just sell the job and move on, he came on site everyday to check progress and meet with the team. He called and emailed us several times to check in about the project and always answered his phone! At the end of 3 weeks, the Laney team had ripped out a 1970s wooden deck and replaced it with a beautiful stone patio, stepping stones, planters and a gorgeous outdoor fireplace designed by Spencer. We couldn't be happier with the outcome and want to thank Spencer and his whole team. We'll be using them again soon! Pros: great design, neat, timely more

Very pleased with results 4/27/2009

Recently updated landscaping in the back yard and added wooden lattice and vining jasmine along a stone wall. Spencer and his workers did a great job, were easy to work with and sought my input. Excellent work, friendly and reliable 11/20/2008

Laney Landscaping did a great job in our front and back yard. Spencer understood exactly what we wanted to accomplish and designed a landscape plan accordingly and in our price range. He answers his phone, shows up when he says he will and guarantees his work. We've called on him twice in the past 2 years and plan on having him back in the Spring to install more landscaping and possibly build a patio extension. more

LANEY IS SIMPLY THE BEST 10/25/2008

Well, we just had the SECOND job done by Spencer Laney of Laney Landscaping. And just like the first, this job was on time and the man did what he said he would do and then some. \r \r Our first job was a simple courtyard replanting with flagstone overlay entry platform. This was done 1.5 years ago and is still looking great. This job was under $4K so I was shocked by a review herein where some ding-dong said that he wouldn't do a job under $10K. Well, he did mine and did it fabulously.\r \r Secondly, in regards to our second job, I was shocked once more when I read the last reviewer who said Laney didn't offer any ideas or suggestions. That really has to be a total load of poo because Laney was chock-full of great ideas and suggestions. \r \r Anyway, back to our latest experience with Laney. We called Laney a few weeks ago about fixing up our back and front yard. We had ideas of what we wanted and Spencer Laney took those rough ideas and crafted them into a gorgeous landscape renovation. \r \r I was very impressed with the level of service and professionalism received by Spencer and his crew was most excellent and worked their butts off each and everyday. Spencer was always there to answer my questions and never responded with anything less than courteous even when asking the same question five times.\r \r If you want a Landscaping company that will get the job done without any BS and do it better than you expect, then Laney Landscaping is the company for you. Calling our company unprofessional 10/16/2008

Spencer was asked to stop by our apartment complex to give us some landscaping ideas. He was rude to my staff and called us un-professional because we didn't have any ideas for him. I thought he was the landscaper and was supposed to come up with the ideas. Wouldn't use someone who is dis-respectful and insulting. more

Impressive Results 4/4/2008

Laney Landscaping installed 3 retaining walls on my property on Lake Travis. The terracing of my yard extended more usable property and stopped my erosion control problems. These walls define my property and are very impressive. We have future plans & projects, we look forward to working with them again. more

Love our new landscaping! 4/4/2008

Laney installed a mixture of native and tropical landscaping, that was just beautiful. We love it! The use of palms and native plants with the low maintenance rock instead of mulch in the flowerbeds, looks great. The beds require only minimal waterings. They installed plastic mats under the rocks & we will never have weeds again! more

Highly Recommended 4/4/2008

Laney extended my pool deck, in my backyard, and installed grass sod. Working with a company that arrived on time, and when they said they would, was something new to us. They worked on our project from start to finish, and were in and out. Cleanup while the work was in progress was important to us, due to our pets & small children. I would be happy to recommend there company to anyone more

Great company 2/22/2008

We are very pleased with the service that Spencer Laney's company provided. He converted our back yard from a desert into a beautiful landscape based on our design. His company installed irrigation, stone work, plant beds, a flagstone path, plants, and sod. We're very happy with how it all turned out. They did the work professionally and quickly and charged the price they had quoted us. They were very courteous and accessible. We had contacted numerous companies and Laney?s was one of the most competitive bids. We highly recommend Laney Landscaping & Patios. Avoid; Expensive, Bad service 1/17/2008

I called this company to request a quote to landscape my yard and put in some trees. He said that his minimum job order is $10,000 and would not put in 2 trees because it isnt a big enough order. His tone also sounded like he was suggesting my yard isnt big enough and when he asked what my budget was, he grunted and said his minimum job was $10,000 in a way that made my budget sound like chump change.\r \r I'm taking my hard earned money elsewhere.
