I had called 4 different companies to give me bids on a pergola for my back patio. 2 came out talked to me and then just called me back with a bid and one of them tried to sell me on something I already told them I did not want. Russ from Landscape East West came out and talked to me about a few design options. We decided on one, he came back with a complete bid package along with 3D renderings. The price was right in my budget too. more

The job I recently had done by Landscape East & West was primarily a water feature reconfigured from a couple of old ponds. There was also a lot of plant removal and re- planting. It all looks gorgeous now, and I couldn't be happier! Working with Lee and Jamie was so easy; they both gave me such confidence in the project. The workmen were amazing: thorough, quiet, clean and incredibly skilled. I now will never consider using another company for the rest of my yard design and conversion. These people make magic! more

I've always wanted a garden railroad in my back yard so when I retired I decided now was the time. I could have spent 10 years building it my self but I decided that one of my goals was to enjoy it sooner rather than later so I took my plans and drawing to Landscape East & West. I had never before designed a garden railroad, so I wasn?t sure I my plans were sufficient. LE&W had never before built a garden railroad, but they were willing to take on the challenge. The project took almost four months to complete. Starting with a basically flat back yard, we mixed in enough rock, top soil and man hours of work to create a six foot tall mountain range, a stream with several train crossings and numerous tunnels ? all accented by miniature trees to match the scale of the railroad. Each day, when their crew would arrive, I would show them pictures I had pulled from the WEB - pictures of railroad scenes I hoped to have reproduced in my miniature garden railroad. In each case, they managed to recreate the requested scene with only the picture to go by. Shortly after the completion of the project, my garden railroad was part of tour of garden railroads. Attendees repeated commented ? ?It?s less than a year old and yet it looks like it has always been here. How did you get it to look so old so soon?. Others commented on the realistic tunnel entrances or on the miniature trees that matched the scale of the trains. My answer was always the same. The LE&W crews a true artisans. I asked them to create a scene in three dimensions and they did exactly that. I couldn?t be more pleased. more

We redid our backyard from top to bottom, and could not be happier with the service and results from Landscape East & West. They were the consummate professionals at every step in the process. Christin Bryk was our designer, and was very tasteful and talented as a designer. She welcomed input, but also patiently and politely helped guide us away from some bad decisions. And she continued to be our point-person on many decisions along the way. She is a total winner, and was wonderful to work with from beginning to end. The entire crew who did the installation was also amazing. Fast, fastidious with details, polite, cleaned up the work site every day, and just a pleasure to have around. Jamie Swygard was the project manager, and did an amazing job. Even coming himself to finish one project on a holiday weekend that was delayed due to weather. We enthusiastically recommend them to others, and look forward to working with them again when we are able to turn to our front yard. You really get what you pay for, and they are the best! more

After my neighbors? yard was re-landscaped I inquired about their experience and the glowing report was all I needed to finally do something about our backyard ? it had been 7 years since our addition was finished, yet we had never landscaped the back yard. Sheryl (Eckrich) was wonderful. Nothing is ever simple with our old house, so we put Sheryl to the test and she definitely rose to the challenge of dealing with us! We put in a brick patio, a small retaining wall with a poured-in-place, serpentine, concrete cap and a dry well. We added a fountain with an echo chamber, a watering system, lots of lighting, fence posts, quite a bit of dirt, and a French drain down the side of the house with a brick walkway. We did not have them put in the plants, because we wanted to do the planting ourselves, but Sheryl did give us a great plan to help guide us along. The crew that did the work was great: they worked hard, did a profession job, cleaned up after themselves, and were pleasant to be around. We will DEFINITELY call them when we re-do our front yard! more

We had a very good overall experience with Landscape East & West, with Lee Glasscock as our primary contact! The project included having our front yard and curb strip completely ""reset"" - i.e. all landscape and grass removed (including bushes and two trees), ground tilled, graded, with new landscaping beds put in, along with new sod rolled out. In addition, our driveway, side stoop and side pathway were completely removed and re-poured, and brick edging installed along the perimeter of the pathway. We were admittedly anxious about going ahead with this project because it was the biggest one for us and we had had some negative previous experiences with other contractors, but the folks at Landscape East & West were very easy to work with and clearly professionals in the business. The bid was prepared clearly and honestly with no ""fine print"", and the workers were always on time, efficient, friendly, clean and amazingly fast - especially the guys doing the concrete work. Lee checked in all along the way and made sure we were happy with the final product. Our neighbors were also impressed with the work and we continue to receive compliments on our improved front yard. We would certainly consider Landscape East & West for future projects and recommend them to others. more

When we moved in to our house as first-time homeowners knowing it desperately needed landscaping, the advice from our friends with experience made one thing clear: get plenty of bids. So that?s exactly what we did. The fourth bid we had done was Landscape East & West and nearly immediately I realized the difference. Lee Glasscock, who completed the bid, was on time (early, even ? something which was surprisingly rare for companies wanting our business), helpful, easy to communicate with and open to all of our ideas, even adding insight and suggestions to our vision. After the final meeting with another company, I had made up my mind that unless the bid came in outrageously over the others, Landscape East & West would be our contractor. more

Excellent landscaping work by Landscape East & West crew . Complete renovation of landscape including plant design, irrigation, lawn, box planter, hardscape and plants. The work crew was top notch and kept the site amazingly clean and tidy in spite of the rainy weather. The whole team was very responsive to my questions and input on the design.
