Landex Garden Nursery

Bought about 20 trees from them within the last few years. 5 trees survived and the rest of them died. That includes all 8 I bought between September '13 and April '14. They could not care less and wouldn't offer any help in replacing them. Buy at your own risk and hope for the best but don't count on them. more

picked out 4 hemlocks with my landscaper, who uses Landex exclusively. They were over 13 feet tall when purchased. Have to say it was either him or the quality of bushes, but 2 out of 4 died; same soil, same conditions, same planting method. So who is at fault? Expensive project and now need to replace them. This was not my first disappointing venture with Landex products, have had 6 Cypress bushes dry up within a couple months of planting. On a separate note, when I built my house, I planted, myself, over 30 assorted bushes and a maple tree in various stages, AND they are growing healthy in same conditions. My nursery of choice: K-Mart and Flowertime (rermember them?) They stood behind their products. more

Landex nursery as well as 99 percent of nurseries do not gaurantee their plants. I own a local nursery myself and we dont gaurantee. Why ? Because we have no idea what happens to a plant when it leaves our care. Most people dont own a tree cart so I not only imagine but have seen people drag the plant to the hole which breaks up the ball - NO GOOD. Most people aren't even sure of how to plant or water. They insist on taking the burlap off - NO GOOD. They think that one or 2 good rains will be enough for the plant to sustain life - WROOOOOONG. Landex Nursery has beem selling plants for close to 30 years with 10s of thousands of happy customers. These 2 idiots are loons. Why ? Think about it, a 5-6' Emerald Green Arborvitae is alive for about 6 years from a cutting before it's released to the care of a non professional. Them BAM - non professional takes possesion of the tree and WALAHH - it's dead. No how is that a nurseries fault. these 2 slanderous reviwers should be ashamed of themselves. It disgust me that these people would slander a fine establishment like Landex because they suck a yard work. In the words of the great Jackie Gleason " OOOOHH BE KIND TO THE PEOPLE YOU MEET ON THE WAY UUUUP - BECAUSE YOURE GONNA MEET THE SAME PEOPLE ON THE WAY DOOOOOOWN. more

poor quality plants, said there was a guarantee on plants but then dit not honor that when all the plants die. Save yourself the hassle and buy from nurseries that will honor their guarantee! more

We purchased 25 4 ft. Aborvitaes 6 years ago they all are now 10 ft.tall and full wouldn't go anywhere else to buy trees. We live approx.45 miles from there. more

I bought 16 trees from Mike at Landex and 16 from Sunset farms in Asbury. EVERY SINGLE ONE from Landex died over the winter and all the others lived. When I called to discuss, I got a rude rambling response from Mike who wouldn't replace or even offer to sell me replacement trees at a discount. THIS IS A BAD PLACE! DONT BUY FROM THEM!!! more

If you do not really know what you are looking for or what you need, this is a nice place to go to find a nice selection of trees and people who work there that seem to really know what they are talking about and can help you in choosing what you need to make your landscaping look wonderful. Their prices on trees seem to be fair enough, and the quality is great. The shrubs and bushes and trees all look really nice, and you will not be disappointed! more

Landex Nursery has a very wide selection of evergreens and plants and shrubs. They have a great greenhouse with many beautiful plants. I love their selection of Japanese maples and ornamental trees. The staff are great, very helpful and knowledgeable. Each year they help advise me what items to pick out and where to plant them for maximum potential. The prices are good too, there's always a sale going on for something! Highly recommend! more
