We have been Using Land of Oz for several years for our Laborador, and have been very satisfied. Our dog Missy even gets excited when she gets dropped off. more

My friend's dog would have been better off staying home than going to this kennel. When she arrived to pick her best friend, they had already given him away to someone else. At least that is what they said. Negligence!!!. If you don't want your pet sold to someone else, go to another kennel. more

I wish I had something positive to say about this facility. Unfortunately, Land of Oz LOST my sisters dog. That was the only explanation given- just lost her. Couldn't even tell us what happened. If that wasn't bad enough, they waited approx. 12 hours to call and let my sister know that her baby was missing. Then when my sister arrived to find out what happened she was not treated with much respect and the staff didn't seem concerned or willing to try to help locate the dog. I would never recommend this kennel and would warn possible future boarders reading this that if you have a small dog, for their safety find another facility, as I don't believe this place is equip to handle the needs of small dogs. more

I left my small dog here and learned less than 10hrs later they had lost my pet. I received little sympathy or help from them in finding my dog. Would never recommend them to anyone because I would never want someone to go through the pain we did in losing our special pet. more

I have been very happy with the care that my large, timid 11-year-old dog receives here. We have been leaving him with John for about a year-and-a-half now when we are out of town. With previous caregivers, including Grandma and Grandpa, Patch didn't eat and was very depressed when we returned. At Land of Oz, he eats and is happy. I am so thankful to have this great, safe place to leave Patch. I always feel good knowing that he is in John's care. more

A friend of a friend told us about this facility. We were in need of some very specialized rehabilitation for our aging, arthritic, Labrador Retriever and had been searching everywhere when we found John and Land of Oz Kennels. Specifically, we needed an indoor pool for our dog to swim as part of his physical therapy. Everyone told us the closest facility was in Kansas City...they were wrong. John has an indoor pool he designed to help condition his own dogs. He opened his door to us and we started working together to provide regular exercise for our old dog. John is a super guy and his facility is WONDERFUL! It is obvious that he really loves dogs and genuinely wants to help them! Land of Oz is a primarily a boarding and training facility, and the facility appears to be clean, safe, spacious and dog-friendly. While we are there just to use the indoor pool, we have not boarded a dog there. However, we would not hesitate to do so. more
