Normally, you're safe if you follow the elderly to their secret eatin' spots -- these people are on a ""fixed income"" and they tend to get pickier with age. Unfortunately, my friends and I used this logic to get us into Lancers. I ordered the veal parmigiana with garlic toast and a side salad. In a word, everything was BLAND. Their ""salad"" was little more than a plate of iceberg lettuce with ranch, accompanied with a basket of saltine crackers. No tomatoes, no onion, no purple cabbage, no shredded carrots. The garlic toast was a slice of oval white bread, yellowed with melted butter and a nearly undetectable amount of garlic. The veal parmigiana's sauce tasted like salty ketchup with ground beef. I can think of several other places my ten bucks would've been better spent...
