Lancaster's Historic Central Market is the oldest continuously operating farmer's market in the country, so the rich sense of history alone is a great reason to check it out. But did I mention the food? You'll find locally grown seasonal fruits and vegetables, local meats and cheeses, all sorts of wonderful baked goods, and beautiful flowers. Park in the lot off Prince Street for a small fee. Market days are Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. more

i love this place 9/22/2005

This place is very unique and lots of fun. Where else can you find handmade crafts, homemade fudge, apple cider, fresh meat, raw fish, and who knows what else under one roof. THe fresh flowers and baked goods have always been great. Just make sure to check the hours. They are always open on Saturday mornings, but I'm not too sure about the rest of the weekdays. more

Great Shopping 8/30/2005

This is a nice quality Market where they really take care of there customers. You can tell the employees are trained and have the customer in mind. They are very helpful, have decent prices and have lots of great things I can't find anywhere else. All the food id fresh and the best of quality. They have a nice store inside and out. I really like to shop here. more

Central Market 8/20/2005

Lancaster Central Market is a pretty cool place. It's free to just go in and walk around, but there are plenty of things to buy. They have everything from fresh fruits and vegetables to meat and cheese to baked goods and crafts. It is the country's oldest continuously operating farmer's market. Everyone is friendly and helpful, too! more
