I thought looking for a wedding dress was going to be the best day of my life. Well, it may be for some people but it was awful for me. I felt so dumb in all the dresses I tried on everywhere. I felt like I was wearing a Halloween costume. I wanted a dress for a boat wedding so it couldn't be poofy. It also had to have yellow to remember my mom who had passed away. Nothing I saw in person or on the internet fit my criteria until my husband to be thought of getting it made.I went with a picture and a lot of ideas to Lana's Studio and very nervous began creating "the dress".They made me feel good and comfortable and really listened to all my crazy ideas.Every fitting my dress came more alive and it ws so much fun.The price was amazing for a school teacher with "bling"taste and meager means.The price was so good I decided to get a jacket and flowers for my hair.Lana's Studio is even putting my wedding date in blue inside my dress for good luck on my upcoming wedding date.This dress hunt has been great and I can't wait until my soon to be husband sees me on our wedding date.I'm so excited and can't thank them enough for all of their hard work!!:) Pros: Creating for your special day. Here is my story. I fell in love with a gown in a bridal magazine, but judging by numerous $ signs, the price would've been over what I could afford. I searched for places that carried that designer anyway, hoping that maybe it was within my budget, and found one high end bridal salon. As I though, it was too expensive for me, waaay too expensive, more than double of my budget. So, I thought of getting the dress of my dreams made for me. When I came to Lana's I knew I was at the right place. The gowns that they designed are tasteful and stylish. The atmosphere is welcoming, relaxed, and professional. I brought pictures of the gown, we talked about the options and decided on some changes that I wanted. At the very first fitting, the dress looked awesome!! I was soooo impressed. It still needed a few adjustments, so we had another fitting. I also ordered a custom veil that would match my gown. Well here I am, with the dress that I wanted at a price that is within my budget!! I can't say enough good things about Lana's. Wonderful experience! When I first came to my consultation I didn't quite know what to expect, since all my visits before were to bigger bridal stores. This was completely different. There aren't a ton of same old dresses and nobody was trying to "sell" me. I had an idea about what type of dress I wanted, but not the details. I really liked one of their designs and decided to go with that with just a few changes. I was very excited to learn than my SILK gown was going to cost me less that $1,000. I was getting desperate when I was looking for my wedding dress last September. For my wedding in Hawaii I wanted a dress that didn't have a train and was not puffy and heavy. I couldn't find the gown that I was picturing ANYWHERE!! Then, I came accross this bridal designer and that was the end of my stress. Lana made it so easy and fun. I described to her what I wanted, chose the fabric and color, and I even got to add some details to the design. I was completely involved in the process and saw my dress created from scratch. Oh, and the best part was the price. I got my gown for half of what i saw similar dresses priced. I highly recommend Lana!!! more
