Lana Addison Bridal

HORRIBLE! BUYER BEWARE! Wow, this was such an awful experience! I bought my dress 9 months before my wedding. I was never measured. The dress was guaranteed to be here in plenty of time for alterations but the designer was “running late.” Finally, the dress was here 8 weeks before my wedding and it was huge! I had two 1.5 hr. fittings, the second one was worse than the first and it was obvious that my dress would probably not be done in time and definitely never look right; it looked completely different from the sample dress which I was told was not unusual for that designer, it was a $2,000 dress! I was super-stressed and upset and asked the consultant what could be done; she said it all had to go through the owner. I asked her to get me in touch with the owner. It turns out that Alexia, the owner, also owns Alexia Bridal in Raleigh (buyer beware!). She took several days to call me back and I called her daily, she was clearly avoiding me. When we finally did talk she said she had been on vacation. I asked her about going on vacation in June (the busiest bridal month) with no back-up, she said her salespeople could make decisions in her absence, not what they said! Alexia said there was nothing she could do but be there for a fitting, by this time we were down to the last 5 weeks. I told her that I thought it would be fair if we split the cost of the dress and she could keep it and sell it but she refused to do anything but alter that dress or exchange it for another dress by that designer (Pronovias). How she thought she could even get another dress in 5 weeks when it had originally took 10 months, I don’t know. Finally, we parted ways with her stating that she would send me the dress (no refund or compromise) with recommendations where I could resale the dress, but when the dress came, no recommendations. She also had told me that no cutting would happen with alterations until after the final fitting but when the dress came it had been cut and altered and the original tags were off it and were not included in the box making it harder to resell. I just had my awesome wedding, all my vendors were amazing! I have very high-end taste. Alexia is dishonest and obviously only out for a buck! Keep your money for somewhere else. In fact, if you have the time and patience, check out the Wanda (consultant) and Besty (seamstress) at Bridalmart in Burlington, NC, you will walk away with a beautiful dress, no pressure and it will look gorgeous! more

Absolutely Perfect. The dress, the staff, the salon, the experience - everything was wonderful! This was the first bridal salon I visited. I had no idea what I wanted and wasn't really sure what I was doing, but Lauren made me feel at ease. She was so warm and had great energy. I really felt at home in that cute little house of a boutique! It made for a wonderful first experience... and then again for a wonderful celebration when I returned to buy the dress... and to get fitted... and to pick up the dress! I loved every excuse to visit :) \r \r The whole staff is warm, inviting, and patient. You truly feel that they are focused on providing a wonderful experience, not making a sale. The excellent customer service continued after I purchased the dress, which I hear is rare with most bridal salons. Being an ""out-of-town bride,"" I really appreciated their flexibility in scheduling appointments and fittings... and they never made me feel as if I were inconveniencing them.\r \r Lana Addison is the only place I would recommend to any bride-to-be. Had a wonderful experience with Lana Addison. Staff was very helpful and personable, and the boutique is so cute. My dress was exactly what I came looking for and it turned out beautiful...I got so many compliments! Would definitely recommend Lana Addison to anyone looking for a wedding gown. more

After an initial stop at one of those big discount bridal dress stores with tiny dressing rooms, all the dresses look alike, and letting everyone in the store share in your personal experience, I was completely de-motivated and no longer looking forward to the dress-buying experience. The only problem was - my wedding was in a month! And then I stepped into Lana Addison Bridal and it was a whole new world. Every dress was gorgeous and unique and there was great selection for buying off the rack. The staff was friendly and really listened to what I wanted. The atmosphere was comfortable and it because an experience I shared with my mom that I'll always remember fondly. The dress I bought that day brought tears to my husband's eyes the minute he saw me at the top of the aisle. My friends and family were stunned! And yes, even with alterations, the dress was ready on time! more

I was a little apprehensive of the whole wedding dress shopping experience. I wasn't into the whole 'princess' type vibe that a lot of women are seeking and I feared that no matter what I said, I was going to get stuffed into a bunch of overly ornate ball gowns that cost upteen thousand dollars. Not so at Lana Addison. My experience at Lana Addison turned out to be the perfect balance between a really nice and fashion forward environment and also low key and approachable setting. I felt special and cared for, but also not in an over the top way that felt fake or made me feel uncomfortable. It's in a great old house with lots of character - small cozy rooms with room for you and a couple close friends (not big giant dressing rooms where you're on display for strangers). The dress I found was by a small independent designer with a good cause (Amy Kuschel) which felt great to support. They totally listened to what I wanted and although I continued to try on lots of other dresses, the second dress that Christina pulled for me ended up being 'the one.' It was also very reasonably priced - so much so that I was able to pay for it on my own with no help from parents or my fiance, which actually felt really great. I'd recommend anyone looking for a dress that's a bit unique, but not going to break the bank to try visiting Lana Addison. It was a great experience for me. more

I love the atmosphere at Lana Addison. It is adorable, feminine, elegant and comfortable. It makes you feel important just to be there.I visited a few other bridal shops before arriving here and I immediately thought, I hope I find my dress here! I did! My consultant was fabulous and helped me find the perfect dress. She encouraged me without being pushy (and I am really sensitive to being forced into buying things). I had only a few months until my wedding and they were easily able to accomplish my short time frame. It was easy to schedule fitting appointments, even though I live out of the area and had to come in to town for them. They are really flexible. I kind of suggest going to a few other places first, so that you can fully appreciate Lana Addison, just make sure they're you're last stop. You won't need to go anywhere else afterwards. more

Lana Addison Bridal was the first bridal shop that my mom and I visited when looking for my wedding dress. We would have purchased my gown that day if we had visited the other stores we went to before! First off, the store is gorgeous and the gowns are beautifully displayed. Cristina, my consultant, gathered my likes and dislikes before my appointment and quickly selected several dresses when we arrived. She took her time with me trying on each gown and even pulled a few more that were of different styles so that I could be sure I knew what I wanted. We were never rushed or pressured to purchase a gown. Cristina wrote down the styles that I liked and printed out pictures and we left with another appointment to come back and try the gowns on again. I ended up choosing a dress from a designer that I hadn't found online, Amy Kuschel. Cristina was helpful through the entire process from selection to alterations and pick up. I could not be happier with my wedding gown and gown buying experience! more

I had the best experience at Lana Addision bridal. Lauren, my consultant, was absolutely wonderful and helped with absolutely everything I needed. I didn't have a clear picture of what I was looking for but she was able to pull the perfect dress by listening to me and asking all the right questions. I came with a pretty large group of people and they set us up in the top floor room and we had a completely private 1 on1 consult. My dress is gorgeous and the price was fantastic!!! I never felt pressured into anything and after visiting just one other store I came back that same day to purchase my dress! I can't wait to go back for a fitting! Thanks Lauren!! more

I cannot say enough nice things about my experience at Lana Addison. I got married May 22, 2011 and wore a beautiful Pronovias gown down the aisle. When I started shopping for dresses and had a pretty good idea of what I wanted. When I went into Lana Addison for the first time I had a short conversation with Cristina (my bridal consultant) about my tastes, the style of our wedding, and budget. She then pulled a wonderful selection of dresses that were perfect for me. I fell in love with the second dress I tried on. Since my parents live in another state, Cristina knew I wouldn't be purchasing a dress that day but she still gave me the very best service and was at no time pushy about me making a descision. A couple of weeks later she called to let me know that there would be a Pronovias trunk show and that I would be able to recieve %10 off. After being able to consult with my parents I then returned and bought the dress of my dreams! Alexia, the owner, was there and was kind enough to also give me a $350 cap on my alterations. The process from that point on continued to be amazing. The seamstress who fit my dress was wonderful and understood my wants perfectly. On my wedding day my dress was absolutely perfect and I could not have been happier with it. more

When it came time to shopping for my wedding dress, I knew the only person I needed by my side was my mom. We needed to stay within budget ($1500 - $2000), but also wanted the personalized service, which we realized would be hard to come by! Our expectations were beyond what we had wanted at Lana Addison! We made an appointment and as soon as we walked through the adorable purple front door, we were greeted and offered a beverage (a purple champagne drink!) and a cozy seat. They had an excellent selection of wedding dresses that would fit any bride's style (I did not want strapless!!!). My consultant, Cristina, brought out gowns that I had pictures of and gowns that were similar to the style that I liked. The first one I tried on (of about 7-8) I knew was the one (Pronovias Gaudi), but there was no pressure to buy, in fact we were encouraged to be on the look out for trunk shows! We came in a couple weeks later for the Pronovias Trunk Show and ordered the gown. This was in May '10, and I knew it would take several months to have the gown in my possession, but man was I antsy! The dress arrived in Jan '11 and I had my first fitting. I only had one other fitting after that and the dress was perfect by March for my May wedding! Because of my amazing experience at Lana Addison, I have been telling brides and soon-to-be brides to remember to go here to shop for a wedding dress. Lana Addison fit my budget and style! more

I had looked at many bridal salons before coming to Lana Addison and not one of them compared. My mom was visiting from out of town for one day, and they were able to accomodate us with an appointment. I was also concerned that the dresses might not fit my budget, but Cristina helped find the perfect dress that ended up being less than the dresses I was looking at elsewhere. The store is beautiful and everyone is so nice and welcoming. They answered all my questions and helped with any worries during the whole process. I had my dress altered from a size 16 to a 2, and it looked beautiful! I still can't believe that it was possible. And you can have as many alteration appointments as you feel you need until your dress is perfect - I had 6! I really can't say enough good things about this store and the people who work there. If you are in the market for a beautiful wedding gown you should definitely go to Lana Addison! more

I was concerned that as a bride with a budget I wouldn't be able to have the bridal gown shopping experience I'd always wanted. Thankfully, I had a wonderful experience with Lana Addison Bridal. Cristina absolutely knows what she is doing and helped me find the perfect gown that worked with my budget. They always responded quickly and profesionally and were extremely flexible, even accomodating having my out-of-town mom come by just to see me put the dress on. I recieved top notch service. As a petite girl, I was worried about altering the dress. Ruth did an AMAZING job and I was suprised at how affordable the alterations were. I would highly recommend this salon. more

I had the best experience with Lana Addison. Christina was so sweet and so helpful for the entire process. I was newly transplanted to North Carolina at the time and was nervous to shop for ""The Dress"" without my mom, or a friend. Christina did a great job ""filling in"" and was more than helpful with my selection process. I ended up deciding on a gorgeous Chantilly lace Amy Kuschel dress. I had multiple fittings for my dress to get the perfect fit. The seamstress I worked with was so phenomenal and professional. Unfortunately she had an emergent medical issue and was not able to finish with me. Ruth, another seamstress stepped in and finished up perfectly. These ladies are impressive, their work is flawless. If I had to reschedule my fittings (happened twice) the staff was more than helpful with finding alternate times. I really can not sing high enough praises for Lana Addison's dress selection-classy, elegant and not too pricey, their staff-especially Christina, and their seamstresses. more

Wonderful salon! I had such a great experience at Lana Addison. Working with Christina was easy and flawless. She took the time to ensure that every part of finding my dress, altering my dress and everything after was nothing but perfect. They had a gorgeous selection of dresses and when I arrived for my appointment Christina immediately greeted my mom and I, providing us with refreshments and time to browse. She had some dresses already pulled for me and allowed us a chance to browse through some more. As I tried on dresses my experience was fantastic. We had a great time and Christina was more than helpful, honest and so accommodating. I had a few more appointments after my visit with Lana Addison but as I tried on other dresses at other boutiques - I kept thinking about the beautiful dress I had found at Lana Addison as well as the wonderful memory I had made there in the process. I ended up getting my jewelry, shoes and veil from Lana Addison as well. When my dress came in and I came for all of my fittings - the process was absolutely seamless. They were extremely accommodating with my appointments and made sure that everything was finished in plenty of time. I had a wedding that was out of town and wanted to get my portraits done in Raleigh, Lana Addison was so very helpful with suggesting photographers in the area. I also purchased my dress from their sister store - Alexias - and had a great experience there as well. Lana Addison is a unique boutique. It offers a variety of beautiful dresses, bridesmaid dresses, jewelry, shoes and other accessories. The shop is a high-class boutique with that Southern Charm feel. I will recommend (and insist) that all of my friends make appointments with Christina because of the wonderful experience I had. I have heard horror stories from other brides and experiences they had with their dress and shopping experience and I can honestly say I have nothing but great memories. Thank you Lana Addison and especially Christina for giving me the best experience I could ever ask for! more

I had the best experience at Lana Addison. I called in advance and Christina took the time during that phone call to find out what I was looking for and who would be coming to the appointment with me. When we arrived for my appointment, the shop was beautiful; I knew I would find my dress there. It felt like a piece of New York was right in North Carolina. Christina remembered the style of dress I wanted and had already pulled a few for me. Within minutes, I was in love with one (or two) of the dresses. My shopping trip was very close to my wedding day and Lana Addison was very flexible and worked with me to get my dress ordered and altered in enough time without costing a fortune. I truly had the best experience there and would recommend Lana Addison to anyone who asked!!! more

Lana Addison Bridal is an amazing little bridal boutique! I love it there. The people are so friendly and so inviting. You get personal attention and the service is wonderful! I have gone to 3 or more bridal stores in Raleigh and I was never happy with their services! Lana Addison Bridal is a wonderful small place located in the historic downtown Cary. The place is very small, but it is so worth the time! I love how they pay close attention to my every needs and wishes. I never had to wait for anyone to come and take care of me. I love this place and would recommend it to any brides if you don't want to deal with employees who think you are unimportant. more
