With DVD being the hottest in video technology today, VCRs are slowly dying in popularity. I must be old-fashioned, because I still use my VCR and have lots of blank VHS tapes still around my house. When my VCR broke, I took it to Lam's to have it looked at. I got an estimate on how much it would cost to repair my VCR, but with VCRs being so cheap, I figured I would just buy a new one instead of having my old one fixed.
