I can't wait to return to Lampy's as a regular diner. My experience with this restaurant in Endicott was with 14 guests for a birthday dinner for my mother. As with another reviewer, we planned a selected menu with the manager, Tom McCoy. Our guests were dazzled by the superb food; the thoughtful, adept and accommodating service; and the warm, sophisticated atmosphere of the restaurant overall. I have been fortunate enough to experience a number of fine restaurants in my life and Lampy's holds it's own amongst them. more

We celebrated our son's Christening at Lampy's and a week later 40 relatives are still complimenting the food...everything was perfect, the staff could not have done a better job. Manager Mike Tulsey was very accomodating, I chose 7 entrees and 5 appetizers for the ""limited menu"" and he didn't hesitate a bit; planning my event was very pleasant. I am from NYC and chose Lampy's for my event because it reminded me of a Manhattan restaurant and it was everything I hoped it would be.\r more

I travel alot for work so I get to try a wide range of restaurants and I will just say this...Lampy's ranks in my top 5 nationwide! The customer service is phenomenal...the servers always go out of there way to make a meal special. Your drink is never empty, you never have to wait for the next food item....it makes for a lovely dining experience. The atmosphere and lovely bar area doesn't hurt either haha! My husband and myself discovered Lampy's recently and let me tell you we are so happy to have found this restaurant...the food was superb! I had a hard time choosing what to order because, there were so many different options on the menu. The service was stellar. As many locals may know Lampy's location used to be the home of the wonderful restaurant Orlando's. I went to this restaurant for as long as I can remember so when it shut down I was very disappointed. Once Lampy's opened I decided to check it out and I thought it was just great but after the last time I went there I will never return again. I ordered a plate of garlic mashed potatoes and found a plastic bottle cap. The restaurant did nothing about it, they didn't give me a new plate of potatoes, a free desert, or a comped meal which would be expected in a situation like this. Another thing that made this even worst was a lady at the table next to us began chocking and my father a registered EMT ran over and helped her. Save your stomach and pocket book by eatting elsewhere. This place is an overpriced dump. My boyfriend had terrible veal marsala, and my dinner came fifteen minutes after his! The manager was a real inconciderate person about it and spent the rest of the night drinking at the bar. This is not way to keep my patrionage. I came here with a girlfriend of mine from high school. I have since moved to NY and she's moved elsewhere and we both had the best meal of our lives.
