I took my car into Lamb's for what I thought was a brake problem (1986 Porsche 944 Turbo). I do some of my own work but I'm not a real mechanic. I had just changed my brake pads and bled my brakes, but they were not working. I figured that I had damaged the master cylinder somehow, so I took it in to have them replace it (a pretty simple job, but a lot of labor, and I didn't have the tools required).
They took one look and said, you don't need the $2000 master cylinder replacement, you need a $60 brake flush and bleeding. Apparently I had failed to bleed the brakes correctly.
Very few places will go out of their way to save you $1940 dollars. Their integrity impressed me.
