Never had a problem here 3/24/2006

I'm not that frequent of a traveler, but I can say that I have never encountered a problem while traveling in and out of Saint Louis. This airport is not going to make any Top Ten lists, but it gets you where you need to go. Parking has also never been a problem here. We use the Parking Spot, and have always received fairly good service while parking and being transported to the terminal. If you want to cut out some hassle, I recommend flying Southwest, which has it's own terminal for the most part. more

Searched and found lacking 1/16/2006

For a "big city," St. Louis's only airport is sorta disappointing. It's parking is horrible. They have not made changes to expedite things since September 11th made their existing parking and pickup areas obsolete. Inside, they are okay, but the main terminal only has one security area, so lines get long. The people are friendly, for the most part, but it's not a fun place to fly into. more

Lambert St Louis International Airport 9/26/2005

Lambert St Louis International Airport is not one of my favorite airports to fly in or out of. It is a pain to get to the terminals and it is long walks. Not go if you have a lot of luggage. I have picked up people here a few times too and usually I will meet them at the entrance because it is so much easier than going inside. more

Lambert Airport 8/31/2005

Just a regular airport. Nothing special. No nice stores or eateries, unlike many other International airports around the nation which have small mall inside. Two terminals - Main and East. Long Long walk from the Main terminal (major airlines) to the East Terminal which houses Southwest airline. Terminal A only has one line for security check – often crowded and long line. Airport is accessible by the St. Louis Metrolink. But a ride on the metro starting from the airport is more expensive than rest. $3 comparing to the $1.75 when u board from other stations. more

Good once you learn your way around 8/19/2005

I have used Lambert Airport quite a lot, and have virtually never run into problems with it. One recommendation I have if it is possible is to do electronic ticketing. A quick swipe of your credit card and selecting your destination is all you need to get on your way...you can even check bags! This resource is highly underutilized, meaning that the lines for it are short to nonexistent. Taking a little time to learn your way around, like any other airport, can help a lot. Now I see Lambert as a signal that I am nearly home. more

If you can Avoid it...... 8/19/2005

This is probably one of the worst airports in the country. American is threatening to pull Lambert as one of its hubs, and rightfully so. Security lines aren't bad because most people avoid this airport. Its antiquated facilities are as terrible as they seem. You have a 50/50 shot of getting your luggage here, but it has nothing to do with the airlines. The baggage handlers are terrible. Expect at least a half hour wait, if you get your luggage. I would rather drive to Ohare than fly out here. more
