This place is the worst. I gave them 3 tasks to do, and they screwed up all three tasks AND damaged my car on their lift. I took it back to them, they didn't respond to redoing anything.\r It crossed my mind, if you take your car to The Three Stooges and they mess it up, and you take it back to them, you still have the Three Stooges working on your car. I left, took my car to a dealer, and they fixed it right. Highland Car Care is the worst. And the owner there is a rude, vulgar man who makes racist remarks. I have no idea how that guy stays in business. more

About to go pick up my car for the THIRD TIME from these people. I brought my car in because my driver's side window was off kilter and kept coming out of the track, then getting stuck while being rolled up.\r The first two times I picked the car up they just told me to wait 24 hours while the glue took effect. \r The first time I waited almost exactly 24 hours and no difference -- the window was still jacked up when I rolled it up.\r The second time I waited over 4 days and EXACTLY the same thing happened, except the window wouldn't even completely roll up even when facilitated by me carefully holding it in place.\r Now we're on the third visit where I asked them to please ACTUALLY fix it this time -- and if they didn't mind, could they fix the automatic lock system that no longer works after letting them work on the car.\r I get told I'm going to be charged for a new actuator (even though the original one was fine before they worked on it). Our truck failed to start during a visit 12/25/2011 in Baton Rouge over the Christmas holidays after driving in from Tennessee. Tried to start it in the driveway and it spit/sputtered/back-fired etc all of a sudden. Knowing a bit about vehicles, changed the coil, crank position sensor, hall-effect module which is about 85% of the ignition system. Computer was showing NO error codes. Still did not start. Called Highland Car Care and told them I was sending the truck to them for repair. Never called me with diagnostic results. I called them and was told that ?I got no spark? which seemed funny cause I tested for spark and it was firing. Said I needed a new distributor, new coil module, new spark plugs (said they were fouled, they were only 6 months old), and the cost would be $600. I asked if that was the best price he could do which seemed a huge insult because he has been doing this for 20 years and the price is what it is was the response. Always great service at a fair price. Tinh will make you happy. Never any surprises. Estimates are right on. This is the only\r place that will ever work on any of my vehicles. An honest shop and the guy has a great sense of humor. more

I have used Highland Car Care for both complex and simple repairs on at least 10 occassions (3 cars in family). I never have had a problem. The work is excellent and Tran will find ways to keep the cost affordable if you are on a tight budget. Do not let the looks of the facility turn you away! These guys are great!! more

They will help you make the choice on what you can afford to now, and tell you what needs to be fixed later. They are what mechanics should be. more

This is the ONLY place we use now to service our car. We had been burned in the past and are thrilled to have found this mechanic. This guy knows his cars. He can tell you off the top of his head what parts/services cost and if he gives you an estimate there are no surprises. He will even tell you what services can be put off, and what services are not needed. He is a honest as they come and his prices are very fair. PROS: Great prices, great service CONS: None more
