Lake Oswego Dog Shoppe

I can't recommend these people for grooming! I wish I could.. as I rarely say anything negative about a business and will usually leap to their defense. But I took my Dane puppy in for grooming yesterday before the dog show this coming weekend. The groomer was very nice. But I was a bit apprehensive when I walked in as there was dog hair everywhere and the facility didn't look very clean. more

We have been taking our Keeshond to this groomer since the day we got her (over 8 years now). They have always been easy to get an appointment, finish on time and do a beautiful job grooming our pup. Myra, our groomer is friendly and professional. In addition, they provide a great value (even less than hack groomers like Wilco farm store). Sofee always looks great, is fully dry and smells fantastic and has an always festive ""hair pretty"". They even make a point to tell us how much every body loves our dog there. I only got on this site to quickly find their phone number. I didn't even have an account, and took the time to create one just to leave this review. Mainly because I was astonished to see only a 4 star rating. Then I noticed that was 3 people with 5 star and one person with 1 star. 1 star? Really? I can only think of a few reasons leb17 could leave such a negative review. 1) Perhaps he/she was banging on the window of the wrong business. 2) Too many drugs in the 60's 3) They own a competing dog grooming service. If you have a dog that needs grooming, you can't go wrong with the Dog Shoppe. Pros: Consistent, dependable & great value more

After moving to Oregon in December last year, I was more concerned with finding a new groomer for my 4 year old Maltipoo than I was with finding myself a new stylist. I tried a couple different groomers in the greater Portland area and was not pleased with the results or the amount of time it took to drive there and how long it took them to get her back to me. Pros: Fast, friendly and the best job ever. more

I have taken my dogs to Lake OswegoDog Shoppe for over 9 years. When Dena and Valerie left. The place was never the same. Valerie is an excellent goomer and I know with Dena back there managing I feel comfortable to leave my dogs again and I know they will do a great job. Not all groomers are the same! I took my dog the The Dog Shoppe several times to see Valerie, and she did a great job. On time, she wasn't available, so I scheduled with another groomer who was horrible. She said my dog was a very bad boy, over and over again. We made sure from then on that we were specific Valerie was working at another shop for a while (we followed faithfully), but is back at the The Dog Shoppe. more

Don't trust what the workers tell you over the phone! One time they told us to bring the dog in sunday for a haircut as they had no appointments avaialbe. I stood there for half an hour pounding on the window because the doors were locked and could see the owner standing there. She ignored me and phone calls. Recently they gave a haircut to my dog and only did half the job! They didn't cut the area around the face and only did half the toenails. When I called in to ask if they'd finish the job they refused. This place has terrible customer service and the owner could care less about her customers. They also find every way to charge you extra money for every little thing. This used to be a quality place but now is just a rundown, poorly ran business.
