Lake Lynn Community Ctr

i just moved into a apartmnet thats wqlking distance from lake lynn. i walked over to lake lynn last night for the first time i was very relaxing and peacefull i do recommend it for any one who love to walk and take time while walking. its a great place to walk your dogs. more

Has anyone else seen the very large and deep paw prints on the exposed lake bed bottom (near the Northwest end of the boardwalk)? They are definitely not deer tracks, and appear to be bear tracks!! These prints are obviously from a large and heavy animal. You can even see the claw prints in the mud. Hopefully today's rain has not removed them completely & you can check them out for yourself. Other walkers that saw them on Labor Day Monday concluded that it must have been a bear. I've spotted deer in this area before during my walks, but never bear. Do you suppose it is possible for a black bear to be in this region? I don't think the largest snapper turtles could have left prints this large. If it was a turtle, it was the mother of all turtles!!! more

I arrived at Lake Lynn Community Center with an 8 year old and watched about 10 kids run out of the building to the playground. These kids were probably in 5th or 6th grade. The female councelor began swinging first and continued for over 10 minutes while the children hung onto the swing supports waiting their turn. I'd say she is poorly trained and not right for that position. more
