Just got back from a weekend at Lake Crescent Lodge on the Olympic Peninsula. We had to pay a premium for our dogs to stay with us, and the cottage we had was fine, but not *that* fine.
Then we had little annoyances that added up:
*Front desk worker arbitrarily decided to disassemble the puzzle we'd been working on with other guests since the day before
* Our breakfast order got lost, but our server opted to deal with this by avoiding us for 30 minutes
* When I asked the front desk staff for recommendations about what we could do with our dogs, she spent a LOT of time telling us what we COULDN'T do (dogs aren't allowed in the National Park, we knew this), but had NO information available about what we COULD do. (Since the place "welcomes" pets, it seems they might provide a suggestion or two about what you could do with them in the area.
