I like this hotel a lot and it’s location to freeways and access to restaurants and things. I’ve stayed here over 20 nights and there is never a welcome back or special offer-lower rate even as a repeat professional. Don’t use cash because the manager just pockets the money and won’t offer a room upgrade. No continental breakfast but a cheap plastic bag with a orange and 7-11 muffin. Parking is great and easy. The garden is nice but they wanted $20. Night which is not worth any extra for repeat customer or anyone but it’s nice. The balcony room is nice but not a real balcony just a large window. Housekeeping is very good but loud and rude. Banging noises and loud Spanish talking about all hotel guests. They bang up noises that can startle you and are never inviting but clean very good. One hand and one body soap for a weeks stay and with stinky eye. Overall hotel is very comfortable and quaint and pool and spa great!! I love all of the things about this hotel if they had a classier staff. I saw a front desk woman tell a guest they match prices but said all the lower prices online were fake and would not honor her word and the lady paid higher than all rates online without a cash discount and the hotel was empty so I checked out and chose The Hills Hotel finally refusing business further to a too frugal business. It was insulting & rude and beyond just smart, good money management. It was hard to get an extra coffee for my in room coffee maker. I never leave reviews poor about people if I can afford not to but I’m really bothered and so are all the guests I’ve met that it’s too bad for such a nice hotel with comfy tasteful rooms. Tacky staff and culture.
