Needs a dress code! 8/1/2009

The last few years I've been to Lagoon, I've been amazed at the number of pre-teens and teenagers walking around in bikini tops. You don't see that at Disneyland. I'm nervous to take my young boys there for fear of the "off ride" attractions. I don't know how you do it, but it doesn't happen at Disneyland! Beach Wear needs to stay inside Lagoon-a-beach. more

Family Amusement Park 8/12/2006

Lagoon is an amusement park that has been around for 100 years. It has all sorts of rides and entertainment. It has an old wooden roller coaster, a water park, a giant ferris wheel, and many other rides. It would probably take you 2 days to go on them all. This is a great place to take the kids. There are lots of rides for the kids and they have several attendants to help keep your kids safe. The food is expensive, but how many times do you go there in a year? more

Frightmares is Fun 3/25/2006

In past years we have always boughten a season pass after going 3 times its paid for, in april and may there is hardly anyone there, but the summer time is way to crowded, frightmares is lots of fun they have a friendly spook alley and then theres the scary ones.Their prices are outrageous for everything from admission, parking, food and games pack in your own.Their bathrooms are disgusting. We love to watch the singers perform ,Their rides are okay but I agree with others I would rather save my money for Disneyland. more

Lagoon 3/21/2006

Lagoon is the only amusement park in utah. Last year I purchased season passes for around $70 a person. The only problem was, every time we went to Lagoon, it was so crowded. We didn't want to ride the rides when some of the lines felt longer than one at Disneyland. I was dissapointed with Pioneer Village. It has gotten really run down and hasn't been kept up. The one part of Lagoon that I really like was dissapointing. I don't think I will buy a season pass again. more

A Fun Family Activity! 12/29/2005

This is an amusement park in Northern Utah. It's a decent park; not huge; however, large enough to ride different rides and check out the water park. I've been to the park a few times during the summer; however, it was very busy and hot. My husband and I attended around Halloween time twice and I'd recommend this to others-the park was much cooler (temperature) and a lot less busy. The ticket price was also less. They had spook alleys and concerts in the park-it was a lof of fun. more

Lots of fun! 9/28/2005

Lagoon is a fun experience for a date, with family, or with friends. For the grown-ups, there are thrill rides like the Cliffhanger, Sumarai, and the Rocket. There are also the old-time favorites that you remember riding from the time you were a kid like the Jet Star II and the old white rollercoaster. There are also extreme thrill rides like the Catapult (which is awesome!) that you can go on for an extra fee. There is a whole section of kiddie rides. There is also the Lagoon-A beach, a water park that is open during the summer months. They also have the Pioneer Village, which is a recreated pioneer village with a bunch of different shops, and an ice cream shop that is a special treat! During Halloween, they open for Frightmares where most of the regular amusement park rides are open and then they have 3 large haunted houses. The price is worth it, and it's an even better deal if you get a "bounce back" so you can go back a second time for a discounted rate. The season passports are also a good deal if you plan on going a lot. more

A fun time, even if a bit pricey 8/21/2005

Lagoon has been around forever and it hailed as really the only amusement park in Utah. The coasters are fun, and it's your typical amusement park atmosphere. My favorite time to go to Lagoon is actually during the fall during a time that they bill as 'Frightmares' ... the lines are a lot shorter, and you're not out all day in the summer heat. A fun place to go, even if it is a bit expensive. more

It's what fun is! 8/16/2005

Lagoon is actually pretty fun. Don't be fooled by the outward appearance of the park. It looked to me like a glorified carnival but the sky coaster is a blast. Lagoon is good family fun and during Halloween, it is a lot of fun with frightmares. It has a water park inside that tends to be refreshing in the desert heat. My only complaint is that the sky coaster isn't included with the price of admission. more

Best park in Utah! 8/16/2005

This is a great amusement park in Utah. It's main problem is that it isn't Disneyland, but it can't do anything about that. There are lots of great traditional rides such as roller coasters and bumper cars. They have pay-per-ride rides like a bungee drop. There is also a water park inside. Around Halloween the park is transformed into Frightmares while remaining open. THe park is closed for the winter. There is a great promotion during the early summer where if you go once before a certain date, you can return after for only $7. more

Try the Games 8/10/2005

I used to work at lagoon in the games dept. the games become very addicting and I used to always watch people blow hundreads on stupid stuffed animals. the games are not worth it!!! dont wast your money. always ask for deals. they will give it to you. The park in general is ok, it obviously doesnt compare to 6 flags but its all we got in utah! more

Great local Amusement Park 8/9/2005

Lagoon is a great place to spend the day riding rides. Well it is the only place in utah to ride rides. But it is a great park with great rides. It even has a water park inside of it so during the heat of the day you can cool of riding water slides or just sitting in your tube floating around the many different pools more

Lagoon Amusement Park 8/8/2005

Lagoon is one of Utahs happiest places. Full of fun rides and games you can and will spend the whole day here. They even have a waterpark so bring your swimming suit. For more info you can visit lagoonpark.com. You wont find the kind of lines you would at six flags, the top wait time here for the new rides is maybe an hour and a half, but alot of rides dont have big lines. Be sure to ride the old white roller coaster. Its super fun. more

Lagoon - Amusement Park 8/5/2005

Lagoon is like a small Disneyland. Lagoon has really stepped it up in recent years. For a while they were a small town amusement park with a few good rides. Now they are a slightly larger town amusement park with a few more good rides. If you pay full price, it can be pricey. If you look for specials, which are more common later on in the season, you can get in for a reasonable price. Good fun, even if it is not Disneyland. more

Over priced for what you get 8/2/2005

Lagoon is over priced! You can nearly go to Disneyland for what you can go to Lagoon for and Disneyland is a lot cleaner and has a lot more attractions besides. So save your money or what for a discount day. Call Lagoon's Marketing Department and ask about specials. There is always some deal going on. Harmon's grocery store also offers discount tickets to Lagoon! If you do go be sure to visit Pioneer Village for some nastalgic shoot outs and fresh corn on the cob. There are water rides at Lagoon but be sure to be willing to get wet! Pack your lunch when you go in a cooler and pack it in. Otherwise you will be paying a lot for food that does not taste that great! more

Fun, but pricey. 7/20/2005

Lagoon is a fun place to take the family. It can be pricey though. They have a new ride called the Bat and its great. Its a suspended roller coaster. The lines are a little long right now due to the newness of the attraction. They still have the standard wooden roller coaster and thats great too. I would recommend bringing food from outside the park though. The park still allows for this. The inside the park food is still rather expensive so to save some money I would recommend avoiding the park food. The Admission is a little expensive as well. $32.95 for adults, $18.00 for kids 3 and under, and $27,95 for people ages 4 yrs to 50 inches. They have thing called bounce back so you can get back into the park the next day for $10.00 so if you can do it do it. They also have offers on Coca Cola cans for $10.00 off coupons, so if you can do that it saves money as well. more
