The Scene The restaurant has a clean, homey dining area with a terra cotta tile floor, whitewashed stucco walls, wood ceiling beams and copper chandeliers. The garden patio is a delightful place to dine, weather permitting. The Food Lagniappe (pronounced LAN-yap) is a French Creole word that means "a little something extra thrown in for good measure." Lagniappe's makes its celebrated one-pot meal with shrimp, scallops, whitefish, andouille (spicy Louisiana smoked pork sausage), mushrooms, tomatoes and okra in a thick, dusky roux.
