It is quite evident from the moment that you walk through the door at LaFleur Chiropractic (Mills Civic Parkway-West Des Moines IA) that this is a professional clinic. The LaFleur's have left no detail unattended in the design, organization, and upkeep of their facility. You can expect the same attention to detail in your diagnosis and treatment under their professional care. Both Doctor's are meticulous and harken to their days as competitive athletes while diagnosing and "attacking" your chiropractic & general health needs. It is clear that they have continued the education process as they are astute in the latest offerings around chiropractic care and general sports medicine. Pros: Cutting edge treatment options, genuine patient care Cons: Resembles a health care facility, not an assembly line!!! more

    Chiropractic is a safe, drug-free, nonsurgical form of healthcare that is based on the premise that the body has the ability to heal itself. We adjust the bones of the spine as levers to influence the nervous system. The nervous system controls every function of the body: every cell, every tissue, and every organ. When nerves become irritated or compressed, dysfunction occurs. As the phrenic nerve becomes irritated, the diaphragm goes into spasm giving us hiccups. Other nerves can also become irritated, and many different symptoms may occur including pain. It is our jobs as chiropractors is to find the location of nerve interference, remove it, and then let the body restore its normal function & naturally.


    We have gone to great lengths to give our patients an unmatched level of care and the personal attention that has been missing from health care for the past several years.
