His two sons, Alex and John, were raised and educated in Conneaut. Alex is now an executive and resides with his family near Indianapolis, and John works in security in Columbus and is an Afghanistan U. S. Infantry veteran.
Attorney Lafferty has a very long and distinguished record of civic and charitable service to Conneaut and Northeast Ohio. He has served as an officer and board member with many for-profit, civic and charitable organizations. He has time and again proven his commitment to the elderly, the disadvantaged, and our youth. He has also held multiple elected offices in the community. He served as Acting Judge in the Conneaut Municipal Court for over 30 years, serving when called upon to preside by Judges Tittle and Harris. He served as Special or Outside Counsel to four Ohio Attorney Generals, covering approximately 1/4 of the State in collections enforcement and revenue recovery.
