Ladley's View Park Bed & Breakfast

I was recently involved in a wedding that was held at Ladleys Viewpark Bed & Breakfast, and have never seen anything like what had taken place for the event as I did. Although the setting was beautiful what happened behind the scenes with the owners was unfortunately extremely disappointing. With many guests asking about the experience & the venue following the wedding, we have never recommended it to anyone. It's unfortunate because the place is remarkable and the possibilities truly breathtaking, however the owners lack respect, honesty, and truly have taken advantage of what seems to be many, many people. A warning to those who may be planning an event at this establishment. When we first met the owner and veiwed the property we were ecstatic.The price of 2000.00 for one day seemed excessive but we were more than happy to pay this after we were told about the service we would receive. If you want to be pushed around, made to feel taken advantage of, and lied to, then book your event here. I was recently involved in a wedding at Ladley?s and have never experienced such horrible customer service. I was witness to many incidents that I still cannot believe occurred. We all came together and supported the bride & groom and family so that their day was not over shadowed by the rude behavior of the owners, and the party that was double booked, without them knowing about it. Not only did they wife of the owner push people around; but she was threatening about the smallest things that should not have mattered. If you are going to make a choice to open your residence to weddings and events, you need to communicate when changes have been made & more than anything, DO NOT LIE OR DECEIVE the people paying you to use the property. I also was a part of a beautiful, happy wedding in spite of the rude treatment of the wedding party and their guests to this Bed and Breakfast Resort. The first is the issue that the site was double booked and the owners were not forthcoming about that issue. The second issue was that of very unprofessional behavior on the part of the owners. It was apparent from arrival for the rehearsal that people were not welcome on the premises, even though this venue is apparently supposed to be available for gatherings such as weddings and special occasions. I was made to feel that if I walked in the ""wrong"" place or if one plastic bottle touched the ground for longer than half a minute without being picked up, the owner who was everywhere would pick up the bottle, shake it in my face and say ""This will not happen"". As I write this it still seems unbelievable that one person would speak to another in that manner, totally unprovoked. If the owners had particular concerns those could certainly be addressed in a civil manner. The behavior of all the people involved in the wedding was commendable. I think that all involved decided that we would all pull together and not let this person ruin this happy occasion. I would NEVER recommend this resort to anyone, even the view does not make it worth the horrible treatment. more

I was in part of a wedding party for a wedding recently held at Ladley's View Park and was extremely disappointed in how the owners of this B&B acted towards the guests and bridal party. One of the owners, Susan had an especially bad attidude and was rude to the grooms mother and threatened to kick her out for not picking up a water bottle. They also double booked the venue for the night of the wedding ceremony and did not mention that to the bride and groom, who paid to have full use of the venue. When the bride asked about it their response was ""How did you find out about that? You weren't supposed to know."" We found out because the other wedding party was walking around the grounds all day as we were setting up. They owners do not understand the concept of customer service and I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone only because of their bad attitudes - otherwise it is a beautiful place for a garden wedding. more
