I've never been treated so badly. The manager is an ugly soul. She had very bad energy and is not a nice or well rounded person. She waited for me to park and leave my vehicle then stuck a HUGE NASTY STICKER that couldn't be removed on my car! just because I was parked in the future tenant parking for 5 minutes.,...EVEN THOUGH I WAS A POTENTIAL FUTURE TENANT! forget it! NOT ANYMORE! So glad I experienced that before I decided to move there. more

the manager stuck a DO NOT PARK HERE STICKER ON MY VEHICLE because I WAS PARKED IN THE POTENTIAL NEW TENANT PARKING for 5 minutes. (EVEN THOUGH I WAS A POTENTIAL NEW TENANT-WOW) She saw me park there, waited for me to be away from my vehicle and stuck on the sticker which would not come off OBSTRUCTING MY VIEW CAUSING A HAZZARDOUS SITUATION FOR ME TO DRIVE HOME WITH. I was checking my friends apartment out before I went to the main office to see if it is something I'd like, which I did till I experienced THE MANAGER AND HER STICKER! I COULD NOT BELIEVE SHE DID THAT, and when I TOLD HER I WAAAAAAAAAAS A POTENTIAL RENTER, SHE SAID THERES NO VACANCIES ANYWAY!!!! as though it was ok to vandalize my car! CAN NOT BELIEVE THE HATE I EXPERIENCED HERE! DON'T LIVE HERE. GO SOMEWHERE WHERE THE PEOPLE THAT WORK THERE ARE HAPPY! WORST EXPERIENCE WITH ANOTHER HUMAN I HAVE EVER HAD! THAT LADY REEKED HATRED! more

La Veta Grand a few years ago was a great apartment complex bustling with fun people and a great management staff. As of about a year ago all of that changed. The management team in place now are horribly rude, unprofessional and just disgusting people. They prey on their tenants who have been nothing but loyal (like myself). Believe me when I say that they care more about your money than your happiness. I have been charged for repairs that should have cost nothing, I have been double charged and when I stood up for myself have been threatened with cancellation of my lease. Then they tell you to talk to the management company who is so unprofessional that they would not even return my calls after leaving 10 voicemail's over 4 days in an attempt to resolve my issues. They are extremely passive aggressive in the sense that instead of calling you or speaking to you face to face about issues they leave nasty little notes on your door and avoid the issue when you try to speak to them about it. They have also been renting the apartments for $230 less then what they charge me on a monthly basis and have refused to address this issue with me. On top of all of the issues with management the safety in the community is in question as gang activity has picked up and there are routinely pieces of graffiti around the property and on more than one occasion I have heard shots ring out around the neighborhood (including once when i was walking my girlfriend to her car that was 3 blocks away because they do not offer guest parking and they parking around the complex is terrible). They offer a fitness center that contains a broken treadmill and a nordic track that face a blank wall. There are routinely ducks swimming and defecating in the pools at night making them less than inviting. In Conclusion your money and time is best spent elsewhere. Believe me, the extra $100 or $200 to live somewhere else would be well worth it. Cons: Too Many To List more

and excellent spot especially if you are college student because chapman university is right there. its also close to old towne orange where there are tons of little shops and also a short drive on the freeway to the block at orange. decently priced. sometimes neighbors can be loud cuz they are college students. more
