Had an order of the Pesto and Penne (~$7): eggplant, red onions, & mushroom in pesto sauce. Food was delicious, staff was orderly, and the ambiance was fun.

Worst

laval's - good pizza 4/9/2006

This place has some great pizza! They have lots of good toppings and unique choices to choose from, and the prices are fairly cheap. There's also lots of places to sit, and a huge television set to watch while you eat. Overall, highly recommended. The taste is great, a lot better than all those other generic pizza places, and the order is quite quick. I've only been to the northside one so I can't comment on how it is on the south side, but when i went it was an enjoyable experience. go try it out! more

LaVals Pizza 3/29/2006

People rave about La Val's, but it seems pretty average to me. I've been to both of them in Berkeley, but I've found I like this one on North Side more. It has the pizza parlor feel, right along with the random photos on the wall. I've only ever gotten whole pizzas there to dine-in, so I'm not sure about their slice prices. The atmosphere is right though, and if you're not interested in pizza, La Burrita is attached right next door. more
