Waiter complained being sick,breaking up with his girlfriend,messed up our order, bad attitude to fix our order by pointing his finger in my face. Mng checked our table twice but walked away while I was still talking to him about how rujde his waiter was towards us. Mng had little care, he did provide a new waiterwhich was better than the first, however due to the mngs attitude walking away as I was still telling him about his employees bad unaccetable behavior...I refuse to go back. Long time customer and first time ever expierence a bad dinner. It ruined our whole evening. Never again.this rating does not allow a zero for poor customer service more

Quality has declined 11/2/2010

We have eaten at La Tolteca about 10 times. Prior to thelast two, we were very pleased. The last two times, the food has been less flavorfull. We got a Fajita for two. In addition to the chicken and beef, it came with large chunks of pork, which were bland. The vegetables did not appear to have been so much as salted. The meal was edible but not nearly as good as it was the first eight, or so, times we were there before. John T. more

Authentic Mexican food 4/10/2006

The food here is great. It's real mexican food. It's not american/mexican food. This stuff is actually spicy, depending on what you order. You get seated immediately, mainly because the popularity of this restaurant hasn't caught on with the rest of the area yet. They have almost any type of mexican food you want. The prices are comparable to other sit down restaurants in the area. The service is quick and friendly. This restaurant is one of my favorites. more

A refreshing change 11/3/2005

It was nice to walk into La Tolteca on a Saturday night and be seated immediately when there is often a long wait at so many other restaurants in the area. The food is very good and as the previus reviewer said, more authentic than ChiChi's. The chips and salsa are excellent. I think the food is very reasonably priced, but the alcoholic drinks may be a bit pricy. This is a family friendly restaurant with a children's menu including a few mexican items and a few American ones. more

If you are looking for a Chi-Chi's substitute, do not go here. However, if you want GOOD Mexican dishes served as they were meant to be served, this is the place for you. The chips and salsa they bring you are excellent, but don't fill up on them. The combo platters are all outstanding, or if you want to try a few favorites go for the ala cart menu. Service is top notch and your food is always delivered quicker than you would expect it to. more
