Wonderfully Priced Experimental Non-Greasy Thai Food 4/17/2010

Even though La Thai was packed (it was Mardi Gras), we didn't have to wait more than 15 minutes. Very knowledgeable staff, and the owners are such characters, the Chef has made it a point to give me and my date an off-the-menu item he had been experimenting with gratis. Wonderful portions, they don't skimp on the wonderfully-cooked meat or on the fresh veggies or fruit. My waiter asked me if I wanted the green curry extra spicy, of course I said yes. It was really really good, but they do know how to make it hot! My waiter was so sweet, he made sure I always had plenty of water to gulp down while I was simultaneously enjoying the wonderful flavors, and trying to return the temperature of my mouth to a healthy temperature. My date wanted his very mild, and they were great about catering to our different needs. Pros: Delicious ever-changing coctails.
