The thing I miss most in the Detroit area is definitely La Shish, and not just any location ... the headquarters off Michigan Ave. in downtown Dearborn. The hummous is divinely creamy, the pita warm, soft and straight from the oven, fattoush and chicken shawarma always perfect! Don't forget an icy lemonade which goes perfectly with the meals. The best meal you'll have at such reasonable prices. more

La Shish Coming to Ypsi 1/19/2006

This is a GREAT middle eastern restaurant. Their food is authentic and simply delicious!! I have been to the Dearborn location and the Canton location and have always had a great experience. Service is usually superb. I recommend the lamb kabobs as a meal. The salds they serve with the meals are delicious too!! They have an interesting beer selection as well. The price is mid range and well worth it! There is one opening soon on Carpenter Rd. in Ypsilanti. You must try it!! more
