If indulging yourself with a heavenly treat when you are on a strict diet is a crime...than i am guilty as charged.
I pride myself on being a health freak and am always focused on my figure, but I just can't live without Sugar Babys. Their first few weeks of business, I was given a cup cake and was completely unimpressed. But the attractive location (which is in my sphere of living) and the super cute location lured me into giving the place a second chance. BINGO! This was all it took. I have become obsessed. hooked. addicted. My Dad and I make a point to try a new flavor every week, I have had the Va-Va-Vanilla, the German Chocalate, the Carrot Cake, the mini cheesecakes (which need to become a daily institution), the Cookies and Cream, and my personal favorite (by far) VELVET ROUGE. I have to be completely balanced in my critique and explain that I am a cupcake expert, I have tasted some of the best american cupcakes (CakeLove, Magnolia...) and well the buttercream icing is sub par. Buttercream icing is usually my favorite, but here at Sugarbaby's it is no shining star. The cream cheese icing on the other hand, fabulous.
Overall: four stars. Sugar Baby's is already an institution in my mind. And if it isn't for you, it is for me and my family. Any time you can get a moment, go to Sugar Baby's and sit down with a cupcake and their fabulous Dean and Deluca coffee and INDULGE YOURSELF.
Pros: velvet rouge. pink everywhere. dean and deluca coffee. cream cheese icing.
Cons: buttercream icing. parking.
