I was encouraged by another review of La Placita I had seen on Judy's Book, plus I had a coupon, so my husband and I decided to check this restaraunt out. It was small, but modern, not your typical dark and cramped Mexican place. The service was extremely friendly and helpful, and very quick to refill drinks--always an A+ to my husband! It was .99 margarita night, and they were big margaritas, but we didn't have any. I was pleased with what I did order, though, and my husband was as well. Everything was really good. We will definitely be going back in the future. more

Nightly Specials 8/10/2005

La Placita is a great mexican place in a prime location in Madison. There are nightly specials that range from $2 margaritas to buy one get one combo meals. They have kids eat free night also. The menu is pretty extensive and includes everything from salads to steak. They have american cuisine also for those who don't like mexican food - but this selection is very limited. The best dessert in town is here - the banana chimi. Drenched in ice cream, chocolate sauce, and cinnamon, this dessert is sure to please your sweet tooth. more
