Great Menudo, Momosas are great, service is the best we've had!!! 7/29/2008

Me and my boyfriend love coming here for sunday brunch, whether its just us two or a group of ten we are served and treated perfectly. The menudo is great, seafood selection is perfect and the mexican food is the best that i have had. Even on a sunday when there is sooo many people to accomodate the servers never leave you with an empty cup. The mariachi group is so good. I highly recommend La Paz to anyone more

as bad as motel 6 5/19/2008

poor service, organizing, and customer service skills. A group of 23 people decided to celebrate mothers day at La paz the reservation for sunday branch needed to be paid in advancea at $ 28.00 per person ether by check or cash and no refunds. Food was not the best, and overcrowred, surpass the capacity limit . Cons: service, ambience, over priced, overcrowred, more

Best Mexican seafood. Great sunday brunch! 11/13/2007

I love La Paz, we go for Sunday brunch all the time and have so much fun. They have a great mariachi band there on Sundays, be sure to make a reservation. For those that don't know the area, it might be a little hard to find, it's a bit tucked away. Best albondigas soup I have ever had. Comer con gusto! more

Gourmet Mexican food 8/29/2007

Absolutely excellent Mexican food and a unique menu. I particularly like the goat. The vegetable nachos are special too. If I had one complaint it's the uncomfortable chairs, but this certainly isn't a stopper. Pros: It's all about the food! Cons: Uncomfortable chairs more

Fresh Guacamole and huge portions 5/27/2007

Great place to take the family or just for two. It is a larger sized restaurant so you usually don't have to wait more than a few minutes. They have a big menu with the typical tacos, enchiladas, etc. but also have the more unusual dishes. They also have great fresh guacamole which I am a huge fan of. There is nothing like ice cold beer, Mexican food and fresh guacamole. They have an interesting soup that has meatballs, try it. Salsa and chips complimentary for starters. It has an interesting decor with bicycles and dollar bills hanging from the ceiling. It is a big family restaurant with good service. Pros: Generous portions, good service more

Yummmmmmm! 2/6/2007

Fun restaurant, great food, bossy waiter (love him)! Excellent for large groups. If you're going to write a review, please spell correctly and formulate proper sentences so we can take you seriously. ;-) Pros: Good for large groups at lunch, personable staff, great food at an excellent price. Cons: None that I can recall. more

Really bad customer service of all people theowner 12/17/2006

I have gone to this restaurant and know people who use to go there for lunch I woul right around the corner. I was there this past Friday with co-workers we ran a tab at the end the evening the tab was a little over $200 nothing to outrages for about 12 people I decided to pick up the bill and when I gave my credit card I was asked for I.D. now I really didn't see why I needed to show I.D. I was told by the server that the owner wanted to see it I asked her to tell the owner to come to the table when he did I handed him my I.D. so he could see and he grabbed it and then without even looking at it he threw it at me, and started to say he was going to call the police if I didn't sign the receipt mind you I never said I was not going to sign it? before that night I had heard this man the owner was not a nice person now I know first hand why people have said that. the food is ok and the service is really not great how can employees respect customers when they see that the owner doesn't? I for one will never step foot in the place again and I will tell family and friends to do the same. So if you plan to spend $200 or more make sure if you pay witht a credit card to bring your I.D. or else they will call the police on you. Pros: really none Cons: the owner does not know customer service and he is not a people person more

Good Mexican food, excellent choice for lunch buffet 7/15/2006

I've been to La Paz on various occasions for lunch and the buffet can't be beat. By far, this is one of the best Mexican restaurants in the area (if not the best). Decor reminds me of a cantina with the hardwood tables and natural colors. I've been here mainly for their lunch buffet and have not been disappointed thus far. The restaurant is somewhat ""tucked"" away since it's not easily seen from either the freeway or the road it's located on. Menu is extensive and affordable. One thing to note is to ask about the dollar bills on the ceiling from the wait staff - you're in for a surprise on how they got up there. I agree with the rating being in the 9s. Pros: Excellent lunch buffet, affordable Cons: None really more

Watch out for Sunday's! 3/4/2005

The best day to go to this restaurant is on a sunday for brunch. They have all you can eat seafood (shrimp, oysters, crab salad, salmon), meats (beef and chicken), menudo, and you can create your own omalette YUMMY!! The desserts are not that great. Along with the all you can eat buffet they offer ALL YOU CAN DRINK MARGARITAS!!! The margaritas are pretty good, however, sometimes you can taste the cheap tequilla. Overall they're good! They also have 2 mariachis that play inside and outside (patio sitting). The best time to go is in the summer...the beach is about 15 minutes away. Go with a group that likes to drink it's funner!!! PS You have to make reservations! more

Unique Flavors 3/14/2004

Very unique menu and cuisine. Great flavors. Beautiful restaurant and very large facility to accomodate groups. Outside dining is wonderful. Will have to try Sunday Seafood Brunch. Definitely a special occasion dining spot. Pros: Yucatan Cuisine, Spacious, Friendly Staff more

Mexican at its best! 7/11/2003

Lots of charming rooms and areas give privacy and ambiance, although the place can seat hundreds, including their patio. Warm, friendly, attentive servers deliver an incredible range of food, from Mayan recipes to the present, from marinated goat, to whole fish Vera Cruz, dozens of sea food dishes, and every beef and chicken dish you could want. All delicious! And more than fairly priced. Pros: ambiance, food, value/parking more
