La Patisserie Missing Cake 11/12/2008

I ordered my wedding cake from La Patisserie and was quite surprised while at my reception I was informed the cake was no where to be found. Our planner tried to reach the bakery and baker but to no avail. I had to keep my wife from having a breakdown at our reception and scramble to find an alternate baker and cake while our guests were having dinner. After finally hearing from the baker via voicemail the next day, I was told he forgot about the cake and my wedding. Avoid La Patisserie at all costs!!! more

Pasteries at the shore 8/7/2005

La Patisserie is a nice little hole in the wall to purchase pastries as you stroll down Washington Ave. Special order cakes are available, somewhat pricy however, just about everything at the Jersey shore is. However, if you do need to buy a birthday cake, it is much better then Shop Rite's. Different sorts of breads are also available, but be there early. Parking can sometimes be a problem. more
