Great baked goods 11/18/2002

In the early mornings in the Quarter I'd walk to LA Madeleine and pick up a bunch of croissants and other baked good to take back to our room to eat in bed. The best pastries this side of Paris! Informal dining, other food is excellent & a good value as well. more

Food to Die for 10/26/2002

We spent a week in New Orleans, and every morning we ate at La Madeleine. There was not a single thing that was not to die for. The chocolate Croissants were so amazing they brought tears to my eyes. The potatos au gratin, and hash-brown like patties were amazing, not to mention the chicken muchroom dish i tried. AMAZING is all I can say, a must try. Pros: amazing pastry, great for lunch, great for breakfast Cons: tad pricey more
