My husband and I used Aly for our holiday photos and brought along our very crazy dogs. She captured some amazing moments and was able to snap enough photos for us to fill up a 12 month calendar, homemade greeting cards and our holiday greeting card. If she can get my hyper-active dog to look straight into the camera for a perfect cocked-head photo, then she can do anything! I highly recommend her for your wedding, baby, holiday, ANYTIME photos! Having known Aly for years and always respecting her art, I naturally thought of her when planning my maternity photos. I was prepared to love the photos, but still the experience and outcome blew me away. She was full of a very tempered energy - she knew what was going to be great and set out to get those shots. That filled my husband and I with confidence in her ability to capture us perfectly, and it came through in the photos. I can't find enough awesome things to say about Aly and La Luz. I hired her to do my son's 18 month pictures. I wanted something really natural - just capturing our little boy playing and being himself. As soon as we got to the park, Aly pulled out the camera and started shooting. She made our son feel completely at ease to the point where he didn't even notice the camera (which is exactly what I wanted). I knew the pictures were going to be great and I wasn't disappointed. My only complaint - there were too many good pictures to pick from! I thought I'd have to frame all of them! Great job Aly. Aly created a comfertable, and relaxing setting, which through her pictures allows anyone who seems them to see the ""real us"". You can not only see our happiness, but feel it. We got an array of photo styles, and shots as well. Our engagment photos turned out fantasitic, and I couldn't be happier. We had the photos taken on a Saturday afternoon, and by Monday afternoon I was already able to look at the proofs and order them! Aly recently photographed our wedding, and we can't say enough good things about her. The photos were amazing, her use of light light and color, as well as her artistry in framing shots places her well above your average point and shoot wedding photographer, of which there are so many out there. Aly has been to our home to photograph our daughter twice now. She is so sweet and easy going that it doesn't even seem like photos are being taken. And the pictures are amazing. We had a great experience using Aly to do a photo shoot for my visiting grandchildren and their parents. I called her on short notice and she was very responsive, suggesting the UW campus as a great location to do what I wanted. It proved to be a perfect suggestion. The children, ages 4 and 1, were wiggly and definately not interested in posing for pictures. Aly had her hands full, but she had several great ideas to engage their attention and she didn't give up. She gave us more than the planned hour, and gave the kids many breaks to play between efforts to get them to pose (alone and then with their parents). The results included several great shots of the kids and the family and that is really a tribute to Aly's patience. She also was wonderful in working with me to Photoshop some of the shots to remove background distractions or messy strands of hair. And she provided a DVD of the entire shoot at a reasonable price in addition to great prints. more

I think her website speaks for itself, laluzphotography! She's very professional, friendly, creative, talented and sets firm follow ups with her clients after every session. She is attentive during the ceremony, always on cue, never in the way, she works the WHOLE time, and she is a natural. She gets some of the most enthusiastic responses as well! I have never heard a legitimatecomplaint about her. I read many reviews on her and did my research, and her actual clients had no complaints. I think her style is lovely and she definitely captures the true beauty in moments and people. *HIGHLY RECOMMENDED*, you will be addicted, will use her for future boudoir photos, ooh la la! I am not happy with her service. She was rude during the formals, very obtrusive during the ceremony, and didn?t take the pictures that I specifically asked for. She disappeared after the ceremony and we actually had to find her during the reception to make sure that we got some pictures of us with the sunset. I feel like she just didn?t try very hard and I would not recommend her to anyone for their wedding, we are pretty disappointed with our wedding pictures. Voted best photographer in Seattle for a good reason, Aly's work is PERFECT. I recently had bodoir pictures taken for a present to my husband. (which he LOVED of course). Aly was extremely professional and very easy to work with ( in a rather uncomfortable situation) :) She had her own ideas for positions but was also very open to any of my ideas. It was team work! Her prices are amazing for her ultimate quality of work .I felt like I should be paying her more! She has a very charasmatic personality and her talent is very apparent when I got my pictures back. The greatest thing is she gave me a disc with all my pictures on it so I can do re-prints whenever I want in the comfort of my home. No two pictures were alike.I felt like with every picture, she took great care in capturing. Overall I was incredibly pleased and I would recommend Aly to absolutely anyone and feel 100% about it. Aly was fantastic to work with on our event. We knew from her recommendations that she primarily photographs weddings, but she did a great job with our kids soccer camp! She took amazing photos without interfering with the camp or the instructors. Aly not only took great posed shots of the team and individuals, but she also took remarkable action shots while the players were practicing their moves.
